Question for the experienced Jeep people; I’m eyeballing these wheels as a possible replacement for my OEM 18” wheels. The -12 offset concerns me though. Will these wheels have huge poke, even with 255/70/18 tires?
Is you Jeep lifted now? Is a lift in its future? Certain lifts require certain amounts of backspace, which becomes more important with the narrower axles of non Rubicons.
Also, it's worth mentioning that a 17" wheel will open up more tire choices that are also generally at a lower cost for a given diameter and width.
Tiresize.com has a great calculator that allows you to enter what you have and what you're interested in, than provides an overlaid image and clearance numbers that directly compare the changes.
