Love it! I almost went with red again. But, this time chose Ocean Blue.

So, let me ask you about using your Rubicon wheels with the 35" X 12.5" X 17" Nitto's. 8.5" width wheels are recommended. The Rubicon's are 7.5". Did you run into any challenges in getting a tire shop to put the Nitto's on the Rubi wheels? Have you had any issues with your new tires and spacers?

I really like the Rubicon stock wheels and am hoping to do the same that you did.

I actually wanted ocean blue but I was able to get a better deal on this one and it had the color matched top and the ocean blue one did not.

I just got the new tires about 2 weeks ago so I don't have to much driving time on them and no off-road time yet. I didn't have any issues getting them mounted. I went to a shop where i have a good relationship with the guy and asked him if he would do it even though the wheels are smaller than the recommended size and he said he would so I go the tires through him and had him mount and balance them.

I actually like the stock wheels too which is why i went this route and saved a lot of money. so far no issues with the tires or the spacers. The bora wheel spaces are hub and wheel centric so it rides smooth just as having an aftermarket wheel. I am running the tires at 30 psi to get an even contact patch. the lower pressure causes tpms warnings so I got a tazer lite to fix that(but I was gonna get it anyway to adjust for the larger tires).

Great information. Thank you for the post! Interesting how your initial quest was Ocean Blue. It's a great color, so is the red. My last two vehicles were silver and white, so I wanted something different than white, black, grey and silver. Mojito really caught my eye but I didn't know if after 6 months or so with it if it would be like... NO more! LOL

My sahara with 315/70/17 and no lift. I did add rubicon fender flares just to make sure there was no clearance issues.

These pictures are from last Spring around March. 17x8.5 Quadratec '41 wheels with 35x12.5x17 tires (extreme country by Dick Cepek). Since then I've added a Rancho 2" lift

I also plan to run 35’s on stock suspension. I ordered 315/70 R17 KO2’s (C grade) and some 17 x 9 KMC Rockstar 3’s w -12 offset and had them painted to match the Ocean Blue Rubi I’m STILL waiting for. (Side note as of yesterday I’m in “I” status)

Are those powder coated or painted? i read where you said you had them painted but was curious. I have been looking at different powder coating manufacturers and have different examples coated to look at. if you had them coated can you let me know who's powder you used and what the powder code was?

Just a heads up...if you plan to add any weight (sliders, steel bumper, winch, skids, roof rack, etc) and wheel, you WILL rub at full articulation.
