I read through the thread and didnt find an answer so im sorry if someone already answered. If i buy LED fender lights taken off a rubicon and put them on my Sahara, is it just plug and play? Will it flicker and if so will i need to do a flash. Also is a dealer able to do the flashing if i dont wana buy a Tazer? I figure the dealer flash might be cheaper than a Tazer unit.
Yes they’ll flicker. You’ll need to buy a Tazer. The sales code for LED turn signals hasn’t been identified at least not by my dealer and I haven’t seen the sales code listed on the here on the forums yet.

Any other way to get them to not flicker without spending 300 plus for a Tazer? Does anyone make a module to prevent flicker like the ones they have for fog lights?

Yes, resister kits that you can splice into the existing wires. Currently don’t have a link for you though.

To convert ot the OEM LED fender lights, you will need the wiring harness from the LED version JL in order to plug in the Mopar fender lights. This harness connects in the back of the front fenders inside the Jeep.
The connector in the halogen fender lights are totally different from the LED version. You can get the harness but you will have problems with flickering and hyperflash. We offer switchback bulbs, they are bright white with the running lights on, but switch to yellow when you turn on the indicators.

After doing a lot of the OEM JL LED headlight conversions for the dealerships, we have modified our original design. This is now, the easiest way to make your non-LED JL into the LED package you have always wanted.

This new adapter is totally plug and play and will include everything you need to wire up your headlights like a professional installer. We have sourced the highest quality components and even use US Military spec wiring. Our adapters have fixed the annoying LED headlight problems. No programming needed, no dealer flashing required. Special forum price is $199 and we have already helped so many forum members solve the LED headlight problems.

Everything comes laid out and all assembled. Just remove your headlights, plug in our module into the factory headlight plug and run our included wire right to the fuse panel. We include the spare fuse and wire. Don't get worried, it is such an easy fix, anyone can do it. Purchase direct form us, we supply our phone number and if any questions - we will walk you through it. This is a 20 minute fix and you are done!
PM us or visit our website, www.headlighthaven.com

We also have matching fog light LED conversions that are totally plug and play and 4 times brighter than stock!

They are take offs I got from another forum member. He kept his fender and didn’t need the lights which I got from him.
Good morning sir. When you installed the LED turn Signals. Did they work perfectly. I have a Rubicon but does not come with the LED package and wanted to upgrade to led. Just don’t know if it’s a plug and play for the turn Signals. I know it is for the fog lights. Thank you for the feedback.

DRL works on sahara as standard. not sure about the sport? Just order tail lifgts from your jeep dealer. they are available now...but take a few weeks to come in.
wait, you installed LED DRL's on your Sahara converting from halogen? just wondering for myself as well. I'm trying to convert OEM factory halogen DRL's to LED's but the wiring harness is different. any advice? Thanks

No. The switchbacks are a bulb replacement from diode dynamics. Not a nice line like the OEM LED side markers but I like them. If I come across Rubicon fenders some day I will take it.

Just wanted to chime in, I have a 2018 Rubicon I just got as a new vehicle a few weeks ago. It did not come with the LED group or the steel bumpers. I installed the front steel bumper, which came with the OEM LED fog lights, a few weeks ago. Last night, I installed the OEM LED DRL’s/blinkers. The bumpers and fender LEDs were all used takeoffs. Fingers crossed and knock on wood, but I have had absolutely no issues with flickering or warning lights, or anything else. Everything works as supposed to, the DRL's work, the blinkers work, and everything was plug-n-play, meaning all the electrical connectors were the same. And I have not had my Rubi re-flashed for LED's.

I have the OEM LED headlights sitting in my living room waiting for @JLEEPER's harness, and will update you as soon as I get them installed.

If I purchase the OEM LED headlights and taillights to install on a JLU Sport with halogens, I'll need the dealer flash to prevent flickering/other issues?

Or purchase a Taser and do it myself?

Am I understanding this correctly?

1) I don't think you need a flash for the tail lights. I didn't give the dealer any tail light codes only headlights and fog lights.

2) You want a harness for the halos. I got one off of @EgGreg. This allows you to run the forth (halo) wire to a power source. If you don't care about the halos then no need for the harness. I ran mine to aux switch 3. Others are using a fuse tap.

3) @EgGreg also has the flash codes which you can give to your dealer (to prevent any flickering).

That's about it.

Cheers!
