Right now I do not aim for extra lift but I surely woul'd like to install beefier tires on the Jeep . Is there a way I could fit 15 inch rims with this tire in my JL? One has to consider the studs on JL are now different size too.

1/2 in. x 20 (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

14mm x 1.50 (18-19 Jeep Wrangler JL)

Trail Country EXP
All Terrain
Size: 33X12.50R15

15’s won’t clear. If I remember correctly you can’t even put on the 16’s. Don’t quote me on the 16’s but I am positive on the 15’s.

There was a member here that ran 16s, can't recall his name though. They were a chrome wheel w/ the large holes FWIW.

thats just the studs, the lug pattern is the same so if it fits a JK it will fit a JL/JT (except diameter)

i think Sean? he's an active poster here. he's probably the only person on 16s lol. definitely a cool idea and probably cheaper for tires too.

from what I've read 16s will fit, the studs are 14mm on JL and 1/2 on JK but then again the JL stock lug nuts may not properly sink into the R16 stud hole

Kluk,
With the larger JL rotors and associated calipers there may be some 16s that will work and some that have a thicker barrel or too much backspacing that may have clearance issues. If you end up doing this I'd go with a wheel that you could test fit vs. buying a set online and then be on your dime to ship them back if they're a fail.
