**2021 to 2023 model year Wranglers equipped with the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 are affected. Build dates range from November 2021 to January 2023**

Stellantis recalling Ram, Jeep vehicles over stalling

Stellantis is recalling more than 177,000 Jeep and Ram vehicles for separate issues that can lead to stalling and an increased crash risk, according to information posted on the website of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The larger of the two recalls involves 131,700 2021 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with 5.7-liter eTorque engines.

“The powertrain control module software may cause an incorrect fuel mixture condition in the engine and result in an engine stall," according to one document posted recently on the NHTSA site.

The engine shutdown can happen without warning, according to a separate report.

As of March 30, the company was aware of 636 warranty claims in addition to other records and one accident with no injuries potentially related to the issue, the report said.

The second recall involves 45,711 2021-2023 Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators and 2022-2023 Ram 1500s in the United States equipped with 3-liter diesel engines as well as 5,654 vehicles in Canada and elsewhere. The vehicles have a high-pressure fuel pump, manufactured by German auto supplier Bosch, that could fail prematurely, according to the postings.

As of March 30, the company was aware of 126 warranty claims and a number of other records but no accidents or injuries potentially related to the issue.

The company said it would replace the fuel pumps and possibly any related fuel system components as part of the recall.

"Routine customer-data monitoring led to a Stellantis investigation that discovered a certain fuel pump may accumulate debris, internally, which could limit fuel flow. Should this happen, it may result in engine stall, increasing the chances of a collision," according to an email from spokesman Eric Mayne. "Should an issue occur, it may illuminate an instrument-cluster warning. Other possible indicators are a fuel leak or excessive engine noise."

The company said customers can contact their dealers if they experience any of the events. Customers may also call the company's recall information center at (800) 853-1403 with questions or concerns.

The company plans to begin notifying customers about both recalls in June, according to the NHTSA documents.

My build was 2/22, with a 4/22 delivery (a year ago today, to be exact) and no fuel pump recall either. But no one can say why, i.e. was our fuel pump different than those recalled that were built in 12/21? Or, the recall just hasn't been issued yet?

Update 4/20/23: Recall now listed on NHSTA website under my VIN.

I wish I had an answer as well

I'm enjoying the 17,900 miles so far
Best wishes

Welcome to the party. I have been sitting with the first recall for a while. The first batch was do to a "manufacturing defect" if I recall. Given the history of this fuel pump...yea right. Guys who had a JT ordered just got hit with a stop sale on new builds so that might light a fire under FCA to get things rolling again but I fear it will be a while before anything happens.

It’s gonna be a while before they send out these recalls cause they got no parts to fix it yet, rumor had it that it was the early models 2019/2020 now looks like it’s moving all the way up to MY23 ?‍♂?‍♂ so who knows, it’s Bosch CP4 or CP4.2 what ever they are calling it now that seems to fail, more info in this article explains it,
https://www.dieselworldmag.com/diesel-technology/cp4-2-fuel-pump/
Only thing I can say is try to get quality fuel at locations where they move diesel so it’s fresh, and change your fuel filter at schedule times, don’t run too low to go out of fuel, these seem to be more reason why this thing fails, all we can do is wait and see, I had hopes that this was resolved in 20/21 so that new builds didn’t have this problem but seems they didn’t address shit! And continued with same HPFP up till now which gladiator still get fitted with 3.0, I’m assuming they never took any action knowing they were going to kill this engine sales anyways

I have not heard anything about 2023, mine was Jan 22 build and no recall. Before the recall was up to 12-21 builds.

Judging by this article it’s looking like we’ll be part of this recall too, mine was a February MY22 build so seems we’re gonna be in the mix ??? ???

I kind of expected we were not special with a new unicorn fuel pump after 1-2022!

Some bean counter probably had a heart attack at 4000 dollars a unit and stopped counting at Jan 2022

I was kind of hopeful after reading the first recall for MY19 and 2020 that they had addressed this prior to new production of MY22 since that didn’t start till December of 2021 and they had plenty of down time to address it, but apparently they didn’t make any changes during that time period and went on to produce MY22 with the same fuel pump on the 3.0 which they were clearly aware had problems with the high amount of warranty claims that were filed the previous few years prior, now we wait and see by the first week of June to see what happens as that’s when they are saying this recall will be announced

You guys have some time to plan options. My '19 3500 Ram just got its CP3 swap last week from the initial recall in 2021. Sad to see that everyone is using this POS pump today.
