I have two stations I generally fill up at, one is #1 and the other Chevron is #2. I have read online #2 is better for the engine, #1 is better for winter though. What would you guys run?

Thanks! Didn't see that. Manual is worse than a Western Civilization 100 class :)

Looks like Chevron wins even if a few pennies more. Or half and half during super cold days, we generally get a few weeks of -10F but mostly garage kept in winter.

I’d ask some locals; it’s better to plan ahead like you’re doing. If you miss it.....and there’s a severe gelling situation, the only thing that will solve it is maybe a dose of Power Service 911 or it being towed to an indoor facility.

In any event.....I’d also look into keeping a few more sets of fuel filters on hand and in stock than you normally would.

#2 with an additive for colder climates is the answer. I kept a bottle of Diesel 911 when I lived in upstate NY where it would regularly see -45.

Our wonderful unit decided that would be the best time for field training too :swear: Upside to running the Intel platoon was knowing how terrible the weather and terrain was going to be in advance.
