Here's my 2dr sport with 4dr rubicon springs and stock Willys wheels/tires. I ended up with about 1.5" of lift if you want an idea of what it'll look like.

Looks nice man, so you just replace the rubicon springs and Willys shocks and that's all Is there any parts that required for this mod?

Yeah, since mine is a sport, I needed to use the shocks and springs from a Rubi, but a Willys will only need the springs. I stole the oem wheels and tires from my wife's Willys since I didn't want her commuting with mud terrains.

You can find all sorts of info about the various Rubicon springs on these forums, there's like a half dozen different heights based on configuration. I got lucky with some used springs on craigslist that were perfect for my soft top (light in the back) and winch bumper (heavy in the front). You'll want to pick the right springs for your config or grab some spring spacers to correct.

Some folks swap the front LCAs with the ones from the Mopar 2" lift to make the steering a bit tighter, but I don't find it was needed - maybe since I'm sticking with the narrower stock tires?

that's cool. I thought I'd only be able to go with the 287/70 r17 tires with the ST1 spacers on my Sport S.
The Rubicon 285/70R-17 KO2 will fit fine on a stock Sport. I didn't try maximum suspension flex but other people have done it with no problems. I swapped tires 2 months before I swapped springs and shocks.

You can just swap the springs, or springs and shocks if you don't have the red shocks. No other parts are required. The longer lower control arms are recommended depending on how your vehicle handles after the swap. Theoretically it will handle like a stock Rubicon but apparently some of them are OK and some not so good.

I did springs and shocks in 4 hours by myself with less than optimum tool setup. The lower control arms were another 2 hours and they were a real challenge. Some people have taken longer.

Thank you all for sharing opinions, so here's an update for what I've done today: I found someone who was going to do the same thing I did: install rubicon shocks which came from fully loaded JL rubicon. Thanks to that guy I don't have to dig in the part number. Here's the picture what I got, compare with JLU sport, I am happy with the result, thanks again!

Looks great. I did a rubicon spring swap on a Willys JLU and plan to also install the Teraflex 1.5" lift kit w/35" tires. Mopar LCA's and an upgraded steering stabilizer, as well.

I planned on doing exactly the same but instead decided to install the clayton 1.5 lift kit on my 4 door Willy’s and couldn’t be happier

Got any pictures to share? I’m mulling over 35’s, but TF spacer lift size is TBD. I already got Ruby springs.

I got my eye on 35x11.5x17 w/oem 17x7.5 wheels. Currently rolling 285/70/17, below is the current set up. 1.5” coil spacers should get me the rest of the way along with Mopar LCA’s. I don’t want a “squatty” look but at the same time not over lift it. It seems about 6-6.5” wheel well clearance is the sweet spot for 35” tires.
