It sounds to me like you did not purchase the vehicle that you needed. Instead, you purchased the one you wanted.
I already have the vehicles I need. Instead, I purchased the vehicle my wife wanted. And i'm very happy about that. We both love our Wrangler. Kids in here are trying to twist this into some tirade against Wranglers when all it is is one simple truth. The remarkable SUV we all love is overpriced. That's it.

So you all can admit it and continue loving your Wranglers or continue acting like fools for no good reason. Whatevah.

Oh and Merry Christmas to all.

Let me see if I have this right...

Modifies Jeep.
Jeep breaks.
Jeep will not warranty it.
Gets mad.
Looks for support from other Jeepers.
Other Jeepers tell him it is his fault and of course
no warranty
Gets mad at other Jeepers for not agreeing with
him.

Is that about it?
You almost got it right. Here’s what really happened...
1. Modifies Jeep
2. Jeep Breaks
3. Jeep will not warranty it
4. Looks for support from other Jeepers
5. Other Jeepers tell him it’s his fault
6. A few dudes hijack the thread and start arguing over semantics and the nuanced subtleties of the phrase “too expensive”
7. The rest of us kick back and watch the train wreck.

Nailed it.

To be fair, the OP tried to tie the price he paid with a certain expectation of higher quality and ass kissing by the dealer.

In an attempt to bring this back on the rails, my 19 is doing the same thing. I don’t have any holes drilled in my top. I had about 15,000 miles on it and never had a roof rack. I did install a JCR half length rack for a Rubicon Trail trip. The only thing in a car top bag on it was sleeping bags, air mattresses and tent.

My friend in the same trip with his 19 JL with only 6,000 miles also cracked- with NO RACK whatsoever! My cracks are pretty small and not yet visible when the window is closed. My friends however looks like the OPs crack.

I actually thought it was cheap. But that is my reality.

Why would he have to purchase all three pieces? Driver and Passenger panels should be fine.
You mean the "freedom panels"? If he can just buy the main hard top without the freedom panels then that is definetly a good route also. I would agree with you.
