Another issue I have w EVs. Say it takes “only” 30 min for a full charge on fast mode. Well OK, I guess I could wait. But Ive seen too many charging stations with Teslas lined up waiting to charge. So now Im looking at a 30-90 min wait just so I can get a turn to plug in.

That is not reasonable to me.

How much did your electric bill increase? Curious to see someone with real world results on percentage of increase on electric bill.

there is a lot of miss information here on both sides of the isle.

The 4XE has aprox 15KWH battery. One charge gets you on average 26 miles.

at 0.16$ a KWH average it cost you 2.4$ to charge from 0 to 100%

if you drive the full 26 miles for 30 days every day in electric that is 780 miles or 450KWh. this will cost you 72$

780 miles on a regular at 20MPG with 4$ gas price would cost you 156$.

The 4XE is very inefficient. A currEnt EV would would do the same amount of miles with about 25-30$.

depending on your commute, the 4XE could still save you lots of money regardless.

Enough with all the electric stuff, until this country updates its power grid none of this is going no where with the average new car buyer. Give me the new inline 6 turbo in the JL now that would be some sweet news.

It would be impressive if they could go to a motor on each hub, and then use a cross-over long travel IFS up front. Gain articulation and ditch the death wobble at the same time.

you are looking at THE EV wrangler

this entire thread is being monitored by stellantis

They provide the forum with the info and monitor the responses to get feedback.
If that's true, can someone ask the powers that be at Stellantis why the hell they have such a hard-on for the word "Recon"? Rubicon Recon, Xtreme! Recon!, and now this.

Signed, 3rd FORECON, and just as tired of the "tacticool" BS as everyone else.

I like the design of Recon. There is a lot of Jeep family cues in the design.. Renegade, some of the hood lines and stance from wagoneer and the side profile from wrangler (without doors). The rear is kinda bronco like but that was Ford's copycat take on wrangler anyways.

Rivian R1S was the only BEV that lived up to some expectations in recent times - esp for the off-road capabilities. I don't consider LRs to be suitable for serious off-road. Recon - if done right will be a winner IMHO

If you don't like it don't buy it. There are huge waiting lists for every new EV introduced and plenty of ICE vehicles still available for anyone who wants one. I don't understand the anger toward EVs. Some people act like their entire family was killed by a rouge EV during the Skynet takeover

At first glance, yikes -- but I'll wait for the reveal.
