Hey Mike, @lil_waynes_colon, did you ever make it back to the states? Unless my CRS is flaring up, you were stuck elsewhere for quite some time.
yeah man I’m in Texas for some training then heading out to a new duty station.

Glad you finally made it back. I was only in 7 years, but I think I started counting on the first morning of bootcamp.

It's never too early to start the countdown to retirement . Especially if you have a career field that keeps rotating you for remote tours to Korea (Kunsan specifically)

USAF 1962-1967.

Trained at the Eastern European Language School, Syracuse University

Goodfellow AFB Texas for equipment training

NSA - extended training

Assigned to the USAF Security Service (USAFSS) stationed at the 6937th Comm Squadron located in Peshawar, Pakistan

Members of the USAFSS were known as the "Silent Warriors". The work we did was very rewarding and extremely interesting. Never a dull moment.

Back to the NSA for a temporary assignment

Finished up at the 397th Bomb Wing (Heavy - B52's and KC135 tankers) Dow AFB, Bangor, Maine

I enjoyed my stint in the USAF and probably would have stayed in for a career but family situations cut it short.

Thanks to all who served and their families.
