great photos , I will trade you my new JL for your green beast if you still have it : )
p.s. I guess you won't include the M 60
Naw, I'm keeping the M60 Very few M151 "Jeeps" in civilian hands. I saw a guy with one in DC many years ago and he wouldn't say were he got it. I remember that there were lots of "roll over" reports back then. Mine had its front diff damaged by a grenade so I removed the drive shaft and plugged the hole in the transfer case and drove it that way. I also cut a small section from the coil springs to lower it. Also eventually put civilian style tires off a junked piece of flight line equipment. It was off the books with a data plate from an in country salvage yard.

Great. I see. you started modifying your Jeep already in the Army . I hardly see any roadworthy old military Jeeps in Canada . There seems to be few willys still running along EU roadways during the WWII commemorative celebrations days. You are right about the M151 rollovers. ...
.......This is from WIKIPEDIA

Unlike other military transports, such as the WWII and Korean War Jeeps and Dodge and Chevrolet transport trucks, the M151 was never widely released into the civilian market. This was partly because it did not meet federal highway safety standards for civilian vehicles, and because of a series of rollover accidents.

10 years ago today, I got my rockers. Kind of fitting I had the same MOS and rank as my Grandfather.

Mike, welcome back to states. We have a family friend who's husband is stuck at RAF Mildenhall (not that being there is a hardship) from an initial 90 day deployment. The wife and daughter miss him, of course. We just heard the other day that they might be allowed to return home to Beale soon.

There's a young man from my church that just got back from his deployment too. He's stuck in Utah for his post deployment leave and can't come home. Kind of a bummer for his family but we're glad he's back stateside.
