They were talking about field testing them the whole time I was in. Then a few months after I left they actually started making them.

Is field chow still runny green eggs in a bag? One nice thing about being a 91X (mental health) was that when we went to the field, I had my own tent. In that tent was a foot locker filled with food and a camp stove and pot I had people visit me all the time to "talk". Yeah, people just knew who had the goodies... That was about the only time people weren't embarrassed to come see me

I started during the old pork patty hockey puck MRE days - ‘88 - ‘18. US Army/AGR ARNG.

Probably the most whacked-out folks I served with were SF troops and 3d Marine Expeditionary Force - and some Brits. Good times.

Miss the people (even the bad ones). Trying to adjust to this civilian life/job thing
