The day I brought my Jeep home was the same day my then 13 year old said thanks for bringing home my new car. That was only a year and a half ago. She gets her permit later this year but is a good driver already. I'm happy she gets to practice in what will become hers although she doesn't really know its hers, yet.
Family is EVERYTHING!

That's awesome! I sold my JK to my son when he got his license, bought a JL for myself and have had a blast wheeling together.

This is a great pic.
he was four years old and came running across the street saying “dad. I got my jeep stuck on the root of that tree. I need you to winch me out.”

My wife looked at me and said as I was grabbing my keys. “ Why don’t you just go lift it up over the root for him” and I told her “hell no you can’t do that. The young man said he needed to be winched out. He’s going to get Winched out” lol

Haha! Good eye! You a Ute?
Guilty as charged.

Born a Ute fan, raised a Ute fan, graduated a Ute fan and alum!

my Jeep at the RoseBowl this past January ?. The U door flags live under the back seat now

as for my Jeep family bonding story:

My son and I went to Moab last year for Easter Jeep safari. He’s grown up as a pretty timid kid who doesn’t have a lot of self confidence. Lots of video games, lots of reading. Had to twist his arm a bit to get him to come along.

We had a great time, and as we were leaving he asked me. “Dad, what do I need to do to get a Wrangler when I start driving next year”.

We set up a budget and a plan to achieve it, and he is now the proud owner of a 94’ YJ. His pride and joy:

The kid busted his butt for a year to save up for this. I couldn’t be prouder. He gets his license in a month, and I’m excited to get out on the trails with him.

I’ve got one daughter that’s a few years older, almost 20 now. She’s been through hell after a date rape back in high school. We lived in a small town, perp’s dad was a cop, we got no real help from the legal system and in-fact caught harassment from the local PD for her reporting. We had to leave town. To say the past few years of her life have been chaotic doesn’t adequately describe it. She’s finally seeming to make real progress with emotional healing; and is interested in “doing things“ again. She’s got her eye on a TJ, or FJ cruiser now.

My two youngest are in ride-along status for a few more years (age 11 and 6). And his year my wife bought a 4Runner TRD Offroad and has already had it lifted with the intent of taking it on some milder trails. We’re fixing to make some new family memories off-road.

That is awesome, I will be handing the keys over to my older son once he is 16. My younger one is just a couple years behind him and will probably do a new project for him at that time.

Nothing more special than sharing a lifestyle with the kids that all of us enjoy.
