On the front axle there is a cable for the Center Axle Disconnect (CAD), on the front and rear axle's of Rubicon's there is also a cable for the electronic lockers, which are not long enough at full droop with a 3.5" lift. I was at Moab and had full droop on an obstacle and had the cables rip out... and had exactly this issue happen

You need to cut the clips to give more slack to ensure you don't rip the cables out...

If you are already in this situation, there is no easy replacement part... you effectively have to re-wire half your Jeep with part # 68351006AE (poor design) :( However someone with electrical wiring skills can splice the cables and patch it back together.

Just starting receiving this exact error message on my 2019 JLUR. I haven't taken it off-road or even engaged the lockers since I got it a few months ago. The light and error message goes on and off intermittently. Hoping it's just a broken connector that can be quickly fixed. Pretty disappointing to have something fail on a brand new Jeep with less than 5K miles

47 days in the shop within the first year.

They replaced something in the rear axle then did a whole bunch of electrical work. They found a short above the gas tank and who knows what else.

I got a lawyer and now have a 2019 JLUR.

So mine just came on after installing my Cobra CB, pretty much immediately after wiring it up. I’m totally lost as to how this would trigger something as random as service axle locker, or maybe it’s just coincidental. Would a battery reset fix anything? I can’t see anything randomly unplugged from the axle area (to be honest I’m not sure what cables control the lockers down there though).
Mines a 2019, bought it less than 2 months ago.

I took mine to the dealership and they informed me that the actuator had failed and likely shorted out. Had to order a new one which took a week. Taking it back in tomorrow and should be a pretty quick swap.

Mine went into the shop today.

They say they found the code "C1451-15" in the system.

And it will require more diagnostic to figure out what caused it.

Trying to google the code and can't seem to find anything about it online.

Today marks day 3 in the shop, and no update beside the code they pulled.

$600 in diagnostic fees if for some reason the issue isn't covered under my powertrain warranty. As my bumper-to-bumper is expired based on my vehicle mileage.

Sent my info over to JeepCares to see if they can assist somehow.

Update. Dealership is replacing the transfer case computer and the rear axle.

Shall see if this fixes the issue.

Both are covered under my power train warranty.

And boohoo.

The transfer case module they have ordered is on national backorder.

They did get my new rear axle in though. So I have to wait for the module to show up, whenever that might be.

Going to grab the Jeep back and drive it in the meantime.

So they thought my issue was the actuator. Replaced it and didn't fix the problem. Now we have to replace a module. That's all I know. So it sounds like we're in the same boat except they haven't mentioned anything about replacing the axle. So now when the part comes in this will be the 3rd time I've had to drop off my brand new 2019 wrangler at the dealership. It's incredibly frustrating that something like this can take so long to fix. On top of that it takes the dealership a few days after I drop the wrangler off before they can even inspect it.

Call and ask your dealer what "module" it is that they are replacing.

Mine is specifically the transfer case module.

Curious if they are swapping out the same thing as mine.
