My experience-

Lifted JLUR (Mopar lift) 18, manufactured 3/18. Started getting the service locker light intermittently while wheeling, eventually started showing up more often. My code scanner showed a C144D code, pointing at the front locker.

Important to note that if you turn the ignition of the jeep off this code will clear, so you will not see a code unless you have not powered the jeep off after getting the light.

Pulled harness from diff to driver side firewall, both signal wires showed drops of continuity when the harness was handled in proximity to the first wire clip (the one that secures the wire to the upper control arm)

Suspect that I did pull the wires too taught on a droop, ordered and installed new wiring harness (68325447AD- the one removed was AC, could not see any physical difference between them) I also did not connect the second wire clip up from the differential to provide extra tolerance for droop. So far no more messages.

I'm getting it too. Definitely electrical or programing. But based on your collective experiences I'm going to wait. I can engage the lockers, have and continue to do so. But for some reason, in 2 wheel drive, when I stop and the engine would normally stop, like at a light, it lights up, or going over speed bumps. I always turn off the auto-stop, its 100 degrees in San Antonio, I don't need my AC to stop.

It's nice to have a jeep with so much nice electronics, except when it comes time to fix.

I took it in today for service, they said it may take 10 days for them to look at it.

2019 jlur hit 2k miles and having same faults. Initially it was the service locker warning light, now rear locker switch is blinking and dask acts like it is engaging. I am able to lock rear alone, front and rear, but when disengaging it goes back to blinking. The locker is disengaged but the system must think it is still disengaging. No Bueno. I have a service appt Friday for 2 recalls and to look at this. I will link the thread to me dealer.
Thank you guys for posting about this. Hoping I don't have to go the route you all did, ugh but a 50k jeep should not have issues or cost me anything out of pocket.

Hi. Does anybody have an update on this? My 2018 JLUR started to get this same message after vacation in Colorado last week. I thought it may have something to do with the washboard gravel/dirt/sand roads, but who knows.

I did use 4H one a mountain road, but that was it. Haven’t used lockers to date. We’ve had the Jeep 13 months.

I did have dealer look at it. They said the wire was not connected well in the sensor. They fixed that and thought problem was gone. To my surprise, a couple hours later it was back. LOL

Jeep care, can you point me to something to check? I’m pretty handy, mechanical, and technical:)

Took my 2019 JLUR to the dealer on 8/28/19 for continued UConnect issues and the steering damper recall. Was told that they had to order parts for UConnect issue and ordered steering damper. They would contact me when parts were in. Had appointment today, 9/24/19 for those issues. However since 8/28/19 my jeep has been invaded by gremlins. First I got the blinking light that my rear differential lock unlocking. I had never even turned it on. At times it would stop blinking and appear off, however it would start again. This lasted for more than three weeks. During this time, I also received a message that Start/Stop Not Ready Battery Protection Mode again off and on. Then Service Axle System came on and was still when I took it to the dealer today. Also check engine light came on blinking and it felt like engine was going to die. This lasted for about two minutes and went out, no further check engine light.

So now I am without my jeep. Dealer said it has some serious electronic issues and they need to keep it for a few days and make a STAR case for it.

What is next? Done venting...lol

Ok. Jeep went in today. Stayed in tonight. I’m lost without the Jeep and the loaner Cherokee.... it’s ok but really?!

who has had this issue solved once and for all?

I’ve seen where these items are potential solutions:
- replace differentials with synthetic
- find and fix the loose wire in the passenger rear door trim
- replace axels

is that it?
