So they thought my issue was the actuator. Replaced it and didn't fix the problem. Now we have to replace a module. That's all I know. So it sounds like we're in the same boat except they haven't mentioned anything about replacing the axle. So now when the part comes in this will be the 3rd time I've had to drop off my brand new 2019 wrangler at the dealership. It's incredibly frustrating that something like this can take so long to fix. On top of that it takes the dealership a few days after I drop the wrangler off before they can even inspect it.
Any update on your JL?

Mine should be completed today, hopefully. Rear axle replacement and the transfer case module replacement.

Update on my end for today 7/1/2019.

The dealer replaced the entire rear axle, and the transfer case module. And the Jeep still won't lock the axles.

They said they are contacting the FCA "engineering team" to further diagnose the problem.

My Jeep has been in the shop for a total of 12 days now for this issue.

Another update for those who are interested.

7/3/2019 - Dealer called and said the problem was fixed. Apparently it was a bad ground somewhere. Will ask details when I pick up the Jeep on specifically what ground and where it was located.

This is the first time I have ever posted on a forum and it is quite frustrating to see that some of yall are having the same issue. I have a 2018 JLUR and I am going into the second week of it being in the shop. Already had a sensor changed but since that did not fix the issue, the rear axle will be replaced. Keeping fingers crossed. I would have thought that Jeep already had a known solution to this given that there have been others with same issue.

My dealer finally got back to me and i'm planning to take my jeep back in (for the 3rd time) next week. Said the part # is
68416518 AA. Can't seem to find anything on it online. It's extremely frustrating that I've had to take my 5 month old Jeep into the shop 3 separate times now, with two of those being a result of not correctly identifying the problem. I've never owned a Jeep before and am hoping this isn't the standard.

Already in week 3 and still no jeep. They have told me for the past week that the part would be in the next day but nothing. I would have rather them given me realistic time frame than telling me tomorrow for the last week. Absolutely frustrating and quite simply unacceptable.

My Jeep is currently in the shop now for the 3rd time for the same issue. They're replaced two modules now, each of which I was told would fix the issue. Neither of which did. Now they are checking all of the wires. I asked the tech to review the posts on this thread bc i remember someone mentioning theirs was just a faulty ground wire, but I doubt that happens. Think I'll be looking for a new dealership after this whole ordeal.

So now they're going to replace the entire axle to see if that fixes the locker issue. Hard to understand how this can happen to a brand new vehicle.

Seems to be the standard fix. They swap the axle as apparently its more work to change out the locker actuator than it is to just swap the entire axle.

I’m pretty sure their first attempt was to replace the actuator, that didn’t work so they replaced another module. That didn’t work so they checked all of the wires and that didn’t work so now it’s full blown axle replacement. At this point I’m doubting they’ll ever get it fixed :headbang:

After wheeling yesterday, my light is now intermitantly on. I did have both axels at full drop (high centered on a snow berm...had to winch over it). I didn't notice the light immediately after that, but a little later on the way home. This morning, I disconnected the cables at both diffs, checked them out and reconnected. Had my wife put the Jeep in drive with the brake set and I fiddled with the plugs and wires to see if maybe one loosened up from full drop but nothing (I had unclipped the wires when I did ny lift so they would have plenty of room at full drop).
Strange thing is....my lockers still work. But I have the light.
Will be dropping it off on Monday....I don't anticipate a solid answer. Mine seems to most likely be software related.

Replaced my axle, lockers still won’t engage. Now they’re getting an “open circuit” error message. 3 times now they’ve incorrectly diagnosed the issue. Jeeps probably been in the shop off/on for over 3 weeks now. This is infuriating and Im losing hope they’ll ever fix it. @JeepCares would appreciate if you could assist.
