It’s easy to assume the new paint colors for 2023 are named after tea, and a prince reference, but upon closer inspection, this may not be the case.
Earl means a rank of nobility, below a king.
Reign means to hold office as a king/ queen
Purple is associated with royalty.

This "origin" topic was discussed ad nauseam in the thread where these colors were rumored to be the late additions. I say ad nauseam mainly because no one seemed to read what other people wrote, so the same opinions were posted over and over.

As @Sital points out, it's just page after page of people posting the exact same things you noted in your post over and over without noticing they had already been said numerous times in the thread. Oh and a few people who are very passionate about making sure everyone know's they are not a fan of Prince.
