Nope. They found a wiring issue. Send Jeep cares a pm. And get ahold of your dealer to get it fixed
My Jeep has been in the shop since Tuesday for the same issue. First they replaced some solenoid. Still throwing codes showing short in wiring in back near passenger tail light. However color codes of wires don’t match. They hope to have it figured out tomorrow Saturday. If not I will be contacting @JeepCares for help. Sounds like the same issue you had. Glad you got it working. Was not offered a rental.

I have talked with @JeepCares and they got in touch with the dealer and they said its the axle, my jeep has been there since 9/3. The new axle was delivered on 9/24 and still hasn't been installed.

Hi. The service by Sam Leman was stellar. Even got a loaner Jeep Latitude. They took care of me. I wish all dealers provided this level of service!

Unfortunately, add me to the list. I originally complained about a noise, too much lash in the gears I suspected, earlier this year. Now service Locker light is coming on. I'm thinking there related. What's funny is the light flashes on really quick so who knows how long this has been going on.... Frustrated. I have 25k on mine so time to hit the dealership.

Hi Carlos,
If you need any additional assistance while working with your dealer, please send us a private message. We'd be happy to get you connected with a Case Specialist.

Had an open repair order for almost 3 months and can’t get a answer on what they’re going to do. Rear locker has been out for almost 4 months. Service manager said she’s waiting for the dealerships Jeep rep for an answer. So frustrated! Makes it really difficult being an admin for a local Jeep group when I can’t make the wheeling trips because I’m not sure my Jeep will do what I need it to. Makes it even worse that I can’t really call Jeep and complain because I work for another dealership (different brand) that is owned by the same company

I went on a long road trip (1500 miles) last week from California through Utah and Arizona. My warning light came on about 200 miles into the trip. Everything seemed to be running fine, no noises, smooth running and it was the beginning of the weekend with no dealerships along the way and we had multiple reservations, so we just went for it. I didn't expect to need my lockers on this trip (thankfully I didn't). We drove mostly highway and did about 75 miles of back roads throughout lake powell area with no issue.

When I got home from our trip, I took the Jeep to a local dealership (Orange County, CA) and the diagnosis was a short circuit in the rear axle at the locker actuator solenoid. They pulled the entire rear axle housing and replaced it, sending the original back to Jeep. So.... it sounds like I got a similar or same part replaced and Jeep is doing some root cause analysis back at R&D and so this really wasn't a fix but a holdover until a solution is found? To me that means this is not the end of it and I have to think about going aftermarket rear axle set-up with only 12K miles on my $46K Rubicon. Upside if there is one: I had my Jeep back in 3 days (wow). By the way I used my rear lockers once for maybe a minute 5 Months ago in the desert and even then it didn't want to stay locked in. But I now have a shiny new rear diff case for what that is worth. It looks like there is some paint worn off on one of the cover bolts so I don't know if they swapped out the internals into a new case or if its all new, the dealer service tech could not elaborate. The N/C cost was $1900 dealer cost. Jeep, if you can jump in here and please explain what exactly was replaced/fixed and what wasn't, that would be great. I love my Jeep but I need to know what the deal is before my next backcountry adventure.

Hi jarink,
We're happy to hear your dealer was able to assist! As our team is not mechanically trained, we recommend reaching out to your dealer to discuss this further.
