- We have NO issues with the steering ... After initial 2-4000KMS the ride settled and any wondering we may have felt seemed to disappear and now the ride and handling is just great. e also have a Grand Cherokee and yes the Wrangler ride is firmer and of course cornering is not as good as the Grand Cherokee but all that is expected . I have a big smile on my face every time I'm behind the wheel of either , but I must say the grin is wider in the JL Wrangler .
