We love the look of the original Chiefs (although hard to find them in person) as well as the Chief concept that Jeep should have moved to production.
When the Chief edition JKU came out in 2017, we wanted to pull the trigger, but our 2012 JKU was still being good to us. So, at the beginning of this year, we decided to get a JLU and make our own Chief edition! Hard to find manual trannys at dealerships these days, so we placed our factor order on February 2, 2020. Then, the manual recall happened, delaying manual transmission builds. Then, a minor issue involving a pandemic hit.
Delivery finally happened on June 29, 2020, and she went to OCD Offroad in Stafford, Va for the lift, Sonic Sound in Arlington, Va for the stereo, and Exotic Vehicle Wraps in Sterling, Va for the wrap. (Each of those three shops were top-notch, and I highly recommend them.)
Now she is at home where she belongs, and hopefully getting dirty soon. Will post pics of the interior once I get the PRP seat covers installed.
