- 86 black CJ7 was purchased second hand in the spring of 87. Still own this Jeep, it has a pretty much stock AMC 256 I6 although I added headers and stainless free flow exhaust. Air cleaner is a K&N air filter. The brown CJ5 (aka The Widowmaker) was purchased sometime in 83-84 from a fellow in western Ontario. He was pretty handy with fabrication as he built the tube bumpers. It also had an aftermarket back seat as CJ5's did not come from the factory with one. That Jeep had the AMC 304 ci V8, with headers and huge Moroso air cleaner (not terribly practical offroad) 32" tires on 15" rims and had quad front shocks. It was a handful to drive with no power steering or brakes. 3 speed stick on the CJ5 and 5 spd on the CJ7.
