Here i'll get that started
...it needs to be at least twice that size! :cwl: heck we've already seen it on the sand dunes doing much worse
but for real very exciting and it's starting to feel real after such a long wait. i second the continuous loop idea, make it a full day of Nascar for...
it definitely keeps things interesting for everyone but can also be frustrating to possibly see less than trivial changes mid model year. the 3.0 ecodiesel and powertop seems to be following this path. it makes the decision of whether to wait that much harder when big changes can occur a few...
I was reading up on the EHPS systems on other jeeps and came across this;
WITH EHPS
CAUTION: There is an Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump on some vehicles requiring a different fluid. Do not mix power steering fluid types. Damage may result to the power steering pump and system if...
also depends how modified your jeep will be. based on what ive read, some of the differences b/w them can either be reduced or exacerbated depending on your tires and suspension mods.
That's my worry too given how slow the JL production ramp up will be. there needs to be enough produced and in the hands of early adopters to judge the extent of any issues. either way i know i cant wait to see all the owners on here and it'll be tough to sit on your hands after that. if all is...
Another thing ive seen on the Ford forums is how many people have blown (up) their 2.3 ecoboost engines. i'm talking untuned stock motors with people driving in 5th gear at 60mph.. as expected even more tuned ecoboost mustangs have blown their engines and there's plenty of anecdotal stories...
Yea tho if that were the case and it's some kind of red trim option id think you would see splashes of red in other areas, the stitching, the shifter boot..
It'll be interesting to see if they offer paint matching for just a few select colors (i doubt a yellow dash would be popular for...
If not color matched that would look pretty fugly imo, other than with maybe white/black paint. i think we're seeing one of the exterior paint options on the JL.
All of the proximity remote systems i've used work just fine and would not leave you stranded somewhere without the key fob. there's an added bonus of smaller fobs with a collapsible 'key' which the wrangler could definitely benefit from.
Don't want to see:
- significant price increase (i think we can all agree on this) or cheaping out on standard features
- same old roof options (let's see some improvement in design and function)
- same low reliability and lots of bugs (maybe unavoidable with first MY?)
- engines that lack...
Is it just me or do those visors look huge compared to the jk? it looks like it would cover half the windshield folded down.
btw i think the frame surrounding the windshield will be really thick if you look at where the switchgear is located. unless it comes off with the roof which I doubt.
id be worried too. with the VW dieselgate and low gas prices diesel plans could be tabled or scrapped completely. it's taken them long enough and now the timing couldnt be worse.
yup if it meant as much to Toyota as the Wrangler does to Jeep they would have never allowed that. the Wrangler is FCA's crown jewel and it will never be allowed to suffer that fate, part of what I love about it.
a quick switch hard/soft top with power would be very appealing tho ive yet to see a power soft top for a wrangler done in a way that i like.
the fact that it's being offered must also mean the "solid" frame around the panels is also removable which is good news.
