I just installed the Cover King full headliner. I also put down Kilmat 80 mil sound deadener in the spots where the typical headliners would go (where the top is thinner and around the windows). I'm really happy with it. There is definitely a difference in road noise. It's hard to quantify how...
I replaced my plastic bumper with the OEM steel which came with red tow hooks. I actually prefer the black hooks like the MOAB but it seems like a real PITA to change them out on the front. It was much easier to replace the rear tow hook to red so that they all match. The red is growing on me...
I think I remember a post on here not too long ago about how the Wrangler is one of the highest marked up vehicles. If you buy one off the lot (as opposed to ordering) you're going to take a hit. My salesman was pretty cool and since I ordered it I got under MSRP, but I didn't get below invoice...
I have my Spotify equalizer set, so I keep the jeep's pretty flat. I think it really depends the type of music though. I find myself adjusting the bass setting up and down occasionally depending on genre.
I am a firefighter by trade. When I drive the engine/truck now I sometimes do the wave on purpose. I hope they'll understand but I mostly get confused looks..
I would think if it's a Sport Altitude it would be the sport height & if it's a Sahara Altitude it would have the Sahara height. I could be wrong but I think the "altitude" is just a blacked-out appearance package
I actually thought the Jimny looked really cool on its own but I lost it when they showed it next to the Defender. It looks comically small. Even the 2DR Wrangler is considerably larger (approx 2ft length, 1ft width, 6" height) (I had to look it up after seeing that)
Hey everyone! Huge appreciation to this thread. I looked over all the photos in here constantly while waiting for my Jeep to arrive, planning all the little things I wanted to do with it. I call it the "mid-altitude" model
Hey man, I'm just trying to be helpful. I'm asking because I'd be a lot more sus of the first two situations than the third. I have a friend that used an unscrupulous transport company to move and the results were dire. Hopefully it works out
Since I'm unaware of the background, that doesn't really answer the question. You moved away and they're transporting your car? You bought a new car from a dealership far away? The jeep is in transit to the dealership and you got access to the connect somehow?
I don't think there is a way to disable the GPS for most people with legitimate purposes. You're probably right about pulling the battery. You could also probably pull some wires from the back of the head unit or something. Car thefts are big in my area and they seem to know how it's done...
I have had to unplug mine and plug it back in a couple times as well. If I were to undertake this project in the future I'd probably set it up exactly the same as pictured except use some double stick tape and put the CarLinkIt somewhere accessible. Like on the left side of the dash area, near...
I believe the bolt we are looking it is for mounting the OEM bumper and removing them will not remove the whole piece. The front part with the "X" pattern on it comes off but you'll still have 2 arms hanging down. I would just leave it in case you ever want to mount a skid plate or something...
