This is direct from the manual. The engine will run fine on 87. You may use higher octane fuel for higher performance applications such as towing or in hot weather.
This is a lot of good information. Thank you for sharing. Does adding a catch can stop any of this from working? It appears, from the description, under boost the oil catch can will offer some additional protection.
I have the Mishimoto one and it's quality. I had one on my 3.6L and I pulled out a decent amount of oil. I liked the quality I also bought a Mishimoto one for my Mazda Miata and my new 2023 JL 2.0.

My Mazda Miata got a lot of cracks and chips. 1. My Miata was super low and got hit by everything that was kicked up. 2. There is a lot of crap, rocks, debris, on the roads. More than I expected.
I see nothing wrong with the front of your Jeep. I don't know why your Jeep is getting so hot other than, it's getting really hot and the heat coming off the asphlat and pavement is hot as heck. Then again, I don't know why your Jeep would be hotter than your wife's. Perhaps change the coolant...
We have multiple vehicles. I change my oil in all of them every 5000 miles. So easy I don't have to put stickers or reminders up, I just change at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25k etc. No thinking or error involved. So simple I wish I thought of this sooner.
