I'm wondering the same. Most Jeep guys will point to the TJ's value but they built a lot more JKs, especially the 4 door, so it worries me.
Part of the dilemma is whether to just dump it now before it's fully launched and most people don't even know about it, or wait for more details...
Upgraded axles, manual transmission info, updated Freedom and soft tops and new power tops, whether JLU rear seats recline, if headrests are adjustable, trail rail management?, and basically whole rear end. Still plenty of details we don't know. The design refresh is arguably the least...
Compared to my gf's car and most others I've driven the Wrangler's visibility is superior. Never felt there were notable blind spots in my JKU (except anything really low to the ground lol).
Agree except the rear glass is very clearly bigger so it's not entirely just like a JK. So are the rest of the JL windows for that matter, so it makes sense.
Nice spot! It looks like the rollbar is painted body colored on one side and black on the other. Also can see the crossmember bar. Does that look like two giant speakers to anyone? There's a lot going on in that area unless it's just part of the reflection.
It'll definitely help with the buffeting when the front panels are removed but after further thought I doubt my initial suggestion is true, that they made these changes to help with wind/sun. It seems relatively minor to make such a big change.
I hadn't thought of your speculation that it would...
Based on that leaked image of the JLU frame it doesn't show that it would need such a thick overhang. Of course this could be an unfinished stripped down image so who knows.
You mean roof latch right? Agreed, it looks like there is going to be a pretty large overhang that will extend from the windshield and curve onto the edge of the roof. we can't see how far the roof panel actually extends forward besides the clue given by the roof latch but just eye balling it...
I'm glad to see this option for the JL but I do hope they keep the push button handles. Maybe this is one of those "it's a jeep thing" things but there's something satisfying about the manual feel of the door release when you push that button as opposed to a conventional SUV's pull handles.
Probably true. The other spy pics don't have that extra piece of camo and it doesn't seem to have anything special underneath.
...Unless there is some different top configuration on this mule.
I get the complaint but all it takes is for one to get behind the tailgate (not to the side of it) when opening for easier loading. The one issue I would have with moving the hinges to the left and having the door open from the right is that if you're parked roadside and loading/unloading it's...
