How the heck did you get away with no bump towers? Wish mine came that way! So many weird occurrences coming out of the Covid builds. I’ve seen 3 XR’s (first one I saw was in person), that have the wrong springs on them, and the bump stops are sitting like 1/8” off the pads. Rear window buttons...
So what you’re saying is you lost an inch with the bumper and winch, gained it back with spacer, and then added 1/2” bump stop? I’m assuming the 1/2” bump stop is to keep the shock from bottoming out?
Have taken our XR out for about 100 miles off road now, almost 3k on the odometer. Eventually...
So I’ve been looking for all sorts of info and you are right down my track. Have been looking to see what is limiting the droop on these XR’s. So it’s definitely the shock? Are those the stock springs in that pic with the 40’s?
My goal is to throw some spacers on it, throw some shocks on it...
I would assume the bump stops are limiting travel and flex that you would have without them installed correct? Wouldn’t a spring spacer be a better option to continue to allow the full flex of the suspension?
That bracket just looks like a catch point for rocks going down the slider, I’ll definitely be cutting that bracket to try and continue a smooth line coming off the slider
My order was confirmed on June 20th and scheduled on July 6th. My dealer had a von and vin for me on 6/23, and I was relayed a tentative build date of 8/19.

It is available with the Xr package with the 2.0 and auto. Not sure about the 6 cylinder as my build was with the 2.0. We clicked on it and it added it in, but I removed it and just stuck with the 4.56’s. The difference in pinion size just wasn’t worth the squeeze and additional cost to me
