  1. Official: 2024 Jeep Wrangler Facelift Refresh Gets Major Updates & Upgrades!

Don't give them any ideas. lol In this case the market adjustment is just greed on the dealers part.
  2. Official: 2024 Jeep Wrangler Facelift Refresh Gets Major Updates & Upgrades!

Yep, and Jeep has a good idea what that limit is, and will push it right up to the limit. About 2-3 months ago a local dealer was selling in stock 2023 JLR's for a market adjusted price of $7,500 over sticker. LOL People were paying it, the nonsense will continue as long as people are willing to...
  3. End of the EcoDiesel V6 for the Ram. What about the Wrangler EcoDiesel?

I agree, the change won't be overnight, but it will be sooner rather than later I think.
  4. Will Trade JK For JL w/Hurricane

From what I read they both have twin turbos, the HO has more boost, and some other enhancements.
  5. Will Trade JK For JL w/Hurricane

I can't speak about the stick, all I'd say is they'd have to redesign the transmission to handle the power from that engine. It makes perfect sense to me that with an automatic it would be bolted to the stronger 8HP75 transmission currently used with the EcoDiesel and in the Ram pick ups...
  6. Will Trade JK For JL w/Hurricane

I'd imagine even with the SO version it will be mated to the 8HP75 transmission with an automatic transmission option, which would be nice combo and upgrade from the 850RE currently offered. Not too sure about a stick though, they might only offer it in the I4 Turbo if they drop the 3.6L.
  7. Will Trade JK For JL w/Hurricane

I agree, let the early adopters get the problems sorted out. The good news it will be in use for at least a year maybe more before it hits the Wranglers.
  8. End of the EcoDiesel V6 for the Ram. What about the Wrangler EcoDiesel?

I'm pretty sure the EcoDiesel is done across all product lines. I have a feeling the 3.0L Hurricane will be replacing it along with the hemi engine. With a little tweaking to the engine mounts and the engine bays of some of the lineup it might be replacing the 3.6L soon too with the exception...
  9. Will Trade JK For JL w/Hurricane

I'd love to see them offer it in a JL.
  10. 2023 Orders - Check in here

I'm pretty sure once you turn off ESS, eTorque is off as well. Good luck with your incoming Jeep!
  11. 2023 Orders - Check in here

    Selfish or not, thanks!
  12. 2023 Orders - Check in here

Thanks! It looks like @Ratbert put quite a bit of work into that. It gives me hope that I might be able to get it the way I want. In which case I'll live with the eTorque system, it's easy enough to disable.
  13. 2023 Orders - Check in here

Thanks, I can live with the eTorque although I don't want it. When I build it, I'm given the eTorque engine as a choice with the AT. When selected it reverts back to the stick from the auto transmission, which makes no sense at all.
  14. 2023 Orders - Check in here

Just curious, can a JLR [2 door to eliminate any possible confusion] be ordered these ways?: 1. With a 3.6L and 8 speed AT? 2. With the 3.6L, 8 speed AT, and the HD Full Time 4WD? 3. With the 3.6L, 8 speed AT, HD Full Time 4WD, and 4.88 gears? My wish is #3. After calling four different local...
  15. 3.6 not going away?

The online build and price tool still leaves a lot to the imagination regarding the 3.6L engine. No way can I get a 2023 JLR with the 3.6L and the 8 speed AT using the build and price tool. It keeps defaulting back to the stick. Try putting in the 4.88 gearing and that throws the build tool...
  16. 3.6 not going away?

I hope you're right! I'd rather not have DI for as long as I can possibly avoid it.
  17. 3.6 not going away?

Interesting, and I hope you're right. The way I interpreted it, they're going to upgrade the PUG. Maybe it's some slight enhancements, maybe it's going with DI. You could be right though, the way I see it is the engine has been around a while, and has been very successful. Why risk messing...
  18. 3.6 not going away?

My feeling is the Pentastar engine will "upgraded" to a DI engine in the 2024 model year. When the engine was originally designed it was stated it could be made with DI at some point. I hope I'm wrong. IMO DI will be a step in the wrong direction for the 3.6L. I hope they leave well enough...
