@jc99, The butt joint hidden withing the braided loom of the wiring harness and within a heat shrink tube. It's around the where the main power +12VDC & GND splits to the Driver and Passenger sides of the wiring harness. See the image below:
From my image below (of the deconstructed cable)...
Thanks a lot for the information! Yes, they are M6 bolts. The bolt that came with the JL300 is a M6 x 25mm. I got my hands on some M6 x 35mm. I reversed the mounting bolts for the JL300 to Mounting plate as well. Good to know that there's sufficient space in there. I don't like things...
Just wanted to add an update here. Got my step sliders installed in mid-June 2022, they worked great until Mar 2023 when the passengers side started closing with quite a clang. RSE sent me bump stops which settle the issue for a few weeks. Then the passenger side started having conniptions...
I'm looking at installing my VOSwitch JL300 soon, there's too much gear on the driver side of a 4XE that the JL300's mounting plate would press against, so I'm planning on installing it on the passenger side as well. I figured I would need some spaces to lift the plate slightly so that its not...

Hmm, I'm awaiting delivery of my Step Sliders, let's see what colour I get, I'm expecting red, but wouldn't mind a blue switch to go with the 4xe accents.
I haven't run into the issue and I'll be doing most of the tire related work on the vehicle. It not a need for wheel spacers, I just like the wider stance and handling.
We took delivery of our new baby a shade over six weeks ago, in Vancouver, BC. The liquid sunshine stopped, the clouds parted, blue skies and the sun shone as we looked upon our 4xe in Granite Crystal in all her glory and fully grown. Must have been having too much fun getting to know the new...
We've had our 2022 Rubicon 4xe for a little over 6weeks now. Love it. It will give my 2008 Chrysler 300C Heritage Edition a run for it's money, all while sipping the fuel and being able to sneak up on other humans and small animals. While I appreciate the growl of the V8, I often feel like...
