After 5 months of just trying to get Jeep to tell me that my tire carrier was not aftermarket but factory (didn’t even care about the repair at this point, I wanted assurance my XR package was indeed factory and not voiding my powertrain), I gave up. I think a major piece of the problem was...
I asked the dealership about this issue while getting service. Turns out it’s a glitch between Apple and Chrysler and working on a fix but no estimated time frame.
The moment your case is noted as under litigation, all contact ceases. If you haven’t hired a lawyer, try your local attorney general to see if they can help, at least Chrysler should respond to them.
I have the Gorilla glass and got a massive crack at just over 1,000 miles, didn’t show any damage until the next day, and then the crack was much larger than warranty would cover. My JK was about 1 windshield every 5,000 miles so hopefully this one trends better!
Used Jones Jeep for my purchase in Wickenburg. No trade. I didn’t special order the vehicle though so not sure how many allocations they get, or if they apply ADMs to orders, but they were low stress, no markup on my purchase. Would recommend. Have bought Jeeps at different dealerships around...
Haha that sounds about right. My FCA rep during arbitration didn’t even know what rock sliders were, and then laughed at me for being so adamant that my XR package was factory installed especially cause I didn’t special order it. I sent a note to my attorney generals office for consumer fraud...
I have an XR, went to the dealer for warranty repair in January (5 days after purchase), the service associate marked my car as aftermarket/dealer installed for my hinge gate reinforcement and tire carrier relocation kit. Now March, went through arbitration with the FCA rep still saying it was...
Damn that’s impressive you got it covered! My gorilla glass cracked overnight also. I heard an impact, looked around saw nothing then the next morning, massive gash down my windshield. I read the manual about the size limitations for warranty, so didn’t even bother trying the dealership. Last...
While they are your neighbors and you want to keep a good relationship, them painting your car is not okay; they need to cover sanding and repainting to repair it ti what it was. Their projects should remain within their property line. Good luck!
4H makes the steering more tough cause you now are in 4wd. As horrible as it sounds the clunking is a Jeep thing. I typically shift around 10mph, using neutral then drive once engaged and it’s a lot easier when warm than cold.
agreed. top speed and acceleration are two different things, but no one should be doing 98mph in a wrangler. Rolling onto the power, 0-60, and doing 98 mph + is a whole lot of fun, which is what my 911T and Spyder are for. Im in the camp that jeeps are meant for the dirt and suck as DDs, and...
Had a Defender X on order, but this is a lot less stressful, not worried about scratches or any maintenance cause if anything breaks I can likely fix myself. Oh and also has a great boot for the pups!
I think the standard Rubicon is fine, do you own a Wrangler to drive fast? Also, I personally find it terrifying it can go that fast! Any off road trail the 0-60 or 1/4 mile doesn’t matter. Plus the gearing in the 392 isn’t as great. Don’t worry about the second job, buy a normal rubi.
I will be honest, kinda miss my JK. Only have had my JL for 1500 miles so cannot comment on reliability. The JL transmission is amazing same w the handling, rarely get the shimmy going over rough road, but the JK felt like more of a Jeep.
Love it, super convenient for when you saw that rock ahead but don’t remember how close you really are. Also saves me from sticking my head out the window to check the tire path, I didn’t trust the camera would be accurate for the tire path, but it actually was! Pleasant surprise,
Pink Jeeps that were a special order fully loaded rubicon with the XR package you get under MSRP. But no matter how much you pay @JeepCares still doesn’t care.
love the XR package, took a few trails that would have had clearance issues on a stock rubi we flew over. Front camera was life...
It’s legit we dealt with this with Ford. Unless you have a previous relationship with the dealer it would be tough to get affiliate pricing in this market. There are dealerships making deals, look into some of the rural markets.
