I'm sure the even larger tires would have been great. However, I am avoiding alterations to the vehicle. The exte ded warranty is a nice feature to protect.
Again, thank you very much! It's great when folks share personal experiences to help others make better decisions. I have awhile before I need to act. But I may bump it up to the 37's for the slightly better clearance.
Thank you for your thoughtful response. Allow me to ask 2 follow-up questions based on your comment:
"37's on the XR are an easy fit if you wanted to upgrade to a larger tire."
What specific changes would be required to upgrade to 37's?
What benefits would be anticipated?
BTW, I do spend a fair...
I'd like suggestions for replacement tires on a 2021 392XR. My factory stock Jeep tires still have great tread at 13,000 miles. But I want to plan ahead and need advice. Most driving is local on pavement. Some highway travel. I take it off roading on Jeep trails periodically. Perhaps 6-8 times...
They told me to keep trying different fixes. None of them worked. They sent videos and more advice thst didn't help. Eventually I got tired of it and just replaced the kit. They gave a small discount. It was disappointing. But the kit is attractive. If I find a competitive product, I might try...
Should you be in Inuvik on a Sunday morning, Sunday evening or a Wednesday evening, Pastor Featherstone has a wonderful, warm, local fellowship. I deeply admire his dedication to the community and the local indigenous population.
Moving to the Arctic with a young family to shepherd a small...
So as to not be misunderstood, the Baptist church does not have a campground. My wife & I were visiting the church and attending services. I ministered there on one of the days.
However, I did see a campground in Inuvik close to the main part of town. We also camped one evening south of town...
We visited a nice little Baptist church in Inuvik. I spoke there and the pastor kindly allowed is to park in their lot. In Tuk, we camped by a little gift shop that had a few campsites and provided firewood too. It's right by the ocean.
I drove it last year in our Class B RV. Much nicer drive to Arctic Ocean than the pipeline road to Prudhoe.
Tuk is definitely worth the drive. Scenery is quite varied and sensational.
The road was beautiful in our van. Many bicycles even drove it.
I have a Rubicon 392 but wouldn't even try to...
I have convertibles for that. When I take my 392 off road, the outside takes a beating. But I don't want my interior to suffer for the mud, streams, brush, and dust that the exterior suffers.
And I must admit, having had difficulty in the past with sports car T-tops re-sealing to factory road...
It certainly looks nice. The legal mess in case of a wreck is clear risk. However, I recall bolting our 6th kid's car seat through the floor of our 1980's GMC custom van because we simply ran out of seats for little butts. Some families just do what they gotta do to get by. I wouldn't do it with...
BTW I just leave it on because I really like the look. I've replaced one or two small pieces. The old came off perfectly. The new went on without a problem. Those who imply it won't work on a JLUR misunderstand the manner in which it adheres. It does not require steel to bond.
Be aware it is...
I have some bubbles from my original install. But it still looks great and stays on through car washes, power washing, highway speeds, all weather conditions, etc. But most important, it takes a beating off road and continues to protect my paint wherever kit is applied. I'm very pleased with the...
I'm loving my 392 (except at gas pumps). I've kept tires at Jeep suggested air pressure. Wondering if folks have thoughts on best tire pressure for highway mpg?
Thanks sir! Bingo. This looks perfect. I called to confirm their new design clears the extended tailight/turn signal casing when rhe door is opened. It is pricey, but seems to be a great solution. Plus, they just called me back to inform me that the bright red paint will be psinted bronze to...
