Actually, I've just been reading about how. Think I get it. Need to install a switch. Any recommendations for specific Halogen aux lights that would work well for what I need? Does the forum think that's a better solution than dedicated after-market amber fog lights?
Ok, dumb question about the Halogen aux lights: I don't have any additional aux light switches in my stock Sahara 4xE. At least not that I'm aware of. How might I install them, in my case?
My issue was the headlights reflected back so strongly, that's what was blinding me... but wondering if using stronger amber fog lights would've helped illuminate the dark roads 'behind' the falling snow, even if I keep the headlights on, if that makes sense...
Last week I drove through a nighttime snowstorm for the first time in my Jeep. Conditions were tough. Very dark area. Snow had just started falling so roads were dark, had no accumulated snow to reflect light from. Etc. But worst of it: something about my jeep headlights lit up the falling...
I’ve been driving my 2013 Tesla for almost 10 years. Battery is about 90% of original. It’s a hell of a lot closer to “as new” than any equivalent ICE vehicle would have been.
I’ve got my kids on top of a 4XE battery, and in my other car, a 10-year old Tesla battery. Good with me.
But in the 4XE, I’m very nervous about seating them a mere few feet away from a dozen gallons of highly explosive gasoline!
Seriously, think about it. Which seems more dangerous to...
I’m fairly new to Jeeps, have had a 4XE for about a year (and love it). But I’ve been driving a Tesla Model S for 9.5 years, and the above statement is just wrong. Obviously it depends on electric and gas prices in your area, but for me, in NY and NJ, it costs about 5X more to travel gas vs...
Selling a set of 5 basically brand new 275/55R20 Bridgestone Dueler H/L’s, from my 4XE Sahara. Maybe drove 300 miles max before I removed them. Have been sitting in my garage unused for a couple months, ready to sell them.
From what I’m seeing on the forum, $600 seems to be the going rate...
Ok, here's my report of getting this on my '21 4XE, cribbed from my review on Extreme Terrain just now:
The reviews and everything I've seen on the forums are correct: the bumper is all good once it's on, nice and light and looks good. But the install takes a long time, and has some steps that...
Maybe a dumb question here but:
Just got this bumper and this winch and plan to install both tomorrow. First real mods for my '21 4XE Sahara! ExtremeTerrain has got a helpful-seeming video for how to install the bumper, but I’m a little confused on what step in the process I attach the winch...
I've been doing a deep dive on front bumpers to replace my plastic one on my '21 Sahara 4XE. One thing I don't see discussed much, or discussed clearly, which would be helpful to know when calculating overall added weight and cost:
Which bumpers come with winch plates built-in? And which...
