Actually shipped was about 2.5 weeks, with two weeks at a rail yard near Memphis. However, Jeep chat was saying it was "shipped" when it was still in a rail yard near the factory. The dealer said it was staged for shipment, but JC was saying shipped. It was staged for shipping for 2-3 weeks...
My 10/15 ordered JLU Sahara has finally made it to the Memphis stock yard, where it will likely sit for 1-3 weeks before making the final two hour trip to the dealer. Jeep has an ETA between 1/18 and 2/3, but based on what usually happens with the Memphis black hole, it most likely will be...
OK, JC says my Sahara JLU has shipped (ordered 10/15). On Monday, it was waiting on accessories. Today they say shipped. I asked if it was released for shipping or actually shipped, and he claims shipped.
Been trying to connect to Jeep chat, after about two minutes it says chat not available and throws me to the survey. Tried five times over about 15 minutes.
My build sheet (10/15 ordered JLU Sahara) just showed up, and I have that as well. That's right below "Sold Vehicle" so I wonder if that's putting sold vehicle above dealer stock.
My only experience was touring an Audi factory, and there every car coming out of paint was a different color. They weren't painting them in batches of the same color. Might have been a red, followed by a black, followed by silver, etc.
I would assume Jeep does the same, but don't know for sure.
From what I've been seeing, JC doesn't give out estimated dates. Either they don't have them or have been instructed not to. I think you will have to reach out to your dealer to get the ETA.
In my case, dealer entered it in system while I was in on 15th, and he texted me the morning of the 18th saying it went into D status over the weekend, and VIN assigned.
Mine was ordered on 10/15, got the VIN assigned over the weekend, and it was 103613. So, if an order placed on the 14th got a 106xxx, then it either didn't go in right away, or the configuration was such that Jeep didn't move it to D with a VIN right away, OR they aren't sequential.
