  1. Official: 2024 Jeep Wrangler Facelift Refresh Gets Major Updates & Upgrades!

Iā€™ve been watching Bring A Trailer online auction site for Bronco Raptors ever since I sold mine back to the dealer for way more than I paid to keep track of the market. When the Braptors first entered the auction arena they brought some pretty good money at 1st in the 140k area, but now theyā€™re...
  2. Official: 2024 Jeep Wrangler Facelift Refresh Gets Major Updates & Upgrades!

The exhaust on the 392 will also go from quiet to open when accelerating hard then go back to quiet, but that isn't the problem, its the steady state cruise where it goes back and forth from 8 cylinders to 4 and so on.
  3. Official: 2024 Jeep Wrangler Facelift Refresh Gets Major Updates & Upgrades!

I so disagree and it's one of the major things that annoy me about my 392. . If I have the exhaust button pushed on I can tell right away that it sounds like it's running on 4 cylinders and it's very annoying. Yes, I usually put the stick into manual mode, but that is also a PIA because when you...
  4. First Jeep, Hydro Blue 392

    Make that quadsā€¦..
  5. 392 Joy

I have a E92 M3 6sp and could never let it go, its the last of its kind.........like this 392 XR will be in a year or so, then I guess I'll look for an EV to round out the field.
  6. How was your 392 insurance premiums?

Just liability on the Jeep is almost $700 for 300/500, a little bit better on the Mercedes. I guess they think I'm going to be running over a lot of people with the Jeep ;>)
  7. How was your 392 insurance premiums?

I'm in South Florida and the rates down here are obscene. I'm with State Farm and have 2 vehicles. My rate on my XR 392 is $906 for six months and for a 2020 Mercedes GLC63S it's $866 for six months. Clean record, no accidents and 65. I did add uninsured motorist coverage to both because 1 in 4...
  8. Long Range America aux fuel tank for the 392

Just an idea from my flying days that might work for some. https://www.turtlepac.com/products/collapsible-jerry-can-fuel-tanks/
  9. Hellwig Swaybar - Best Mod Yet

Playing around a little with the suspension on my ā€˜21 XRand want to relate my experience so far. First I installed the Mopar longer LCAā€™s, these seem to diminish the traditional Jeep wander which was great. A minimal cost mod that exceeded my expectations. Then I decided I wanted to try and get...
  10. Borla's New 392 Exhaust

I think their S system sounds pretty close to the stock system. I really donā€™t care for the raspy-ness when hard on the throttle but prefer the smooth deeper sound of the Magnaflow sytem to either. As Iā€™ve gotten (old)er, I donā€™t care for a loud exhaust and even the stock system in the open...
  11. Engine temps

Wow, I haven't seen trans temps that high. The most I've seen is around 180Āŗ but then I'm not hitting the dunes either!
  12. Engine temps

Thanks, sounds like a good mod. Is the water thermostat buried or is it pretty accessible?
  13. Any 392 cold climate owners running a winter front to help get to temps?

I just wrote on another thread that Iā€™m a little concerned with 245Ā° oil temps here in Florida on 75Ā° days
  14. Engine temps

Here in Florida I consistantly see 235-245Ā° of oil temperature even just taking it easy driving 50 mph. Ideal oil temps in an engine are 212Ā° to boil off any water condensation in the oil. Standard Dino oil burns at 230-235Ā°, while synthetic can take more abuse but it think I read that it too...
  15. Track bar for a Recon 392?

Had one of those on an old Alfa Romeo back in the day. Actually it was a Watts linkage but worked like a Panhard bar
  16. Track bar for a Recon 392?

Thanks for the info and link, Iā€™ll check it out.
  17. Track bar for a Recon 392?

I guess I'm looking for an explanation of what or how a track bar functions. I understand most automotive suspension systems so Iā€™m wondering does this go by another name on a non Jeep vehicle?
  18. Track bar for a Recon 392?

I'm a bit of a neophyte when it comes to modifying a Jeep suspension. I'm installing the Mopar performance LCA's but would I be wise to also install an adjustable track bar too. I'm just trying to firm up the steering a bit, although my Recon has the best steering of any Wrangler I've ever owned...
  19. Thor Has Landed! (392 XR in white)

How was dealing with Vatland? Did you check out their service department while you were there? I gave up trying to find a decent selling dealer near me (Jupiter) and went up north to get it. Iā€™ve had mine since November and love it!
