This was gold Jerry. Thanks for the great read everyone. I will never forget:
"Maybe you should change your name to Anus Sphincter, then everyone can call you Ass for short."
🤣🤣🤣
I don't have a specific fix to share as I just MacGyver'd my way out of it. Something like using electrical tape (maybe some gorilla glue?) on the lens side and washers on the backside of the screw. Was able to get the screw to catch and secure the lens in place. Wish I could remember but it's...
I got the ones similar to what @AFD linked to above. Those work well. I also tried the plastic hooks behind the headrest but that doesn't work for hanging a sportcoat, etc.
I thank you for your service! Great idea but sucks it didn't work out as anticipated. At least someone is fighting the good fight for the 2 door crowd against that damn wind buffeting.
I did not run into this problem. I ordered metra connectors from Crutchfield (Metra 72-7902 speaker wiring adapters) which are plug n play with the factory connectors. Ended up with the correct polarity. But like @lashlee said it's always best to listen to the speakers before securing them into...
I would recommend reading through these two great post by forum member @Jebiruph
I went with his recommendations (Infinity Reference REF-375TX in the upper dash, factory speakers in the lower dash and Infinity Kappa 62ix 6.5" speakers installed in SSV adapters in the soundbar (all wired with...
Hoping it's an optical illusion (sure looks like it in the pic!) because if it is the factory worker that installed it will need some correction lenses! I'll have to get out my level later and give it a check.
Jeep people are great. I came across an awesome old Jeep and owner. I believe he said it's a 1946. Mine's a 2021. He took me for a quick ride down the road and it was a blast! No seat belts, no electronics, 3 speed lol.

Sorry to hear you're having issues. I just finished installing the "Jerry system" today (his recs - again major thanks to the man!) and all is great on my end. No issue with connection to the former tweeter harness. Maybe you have a pair of bad speakers?
Ah I didn't think of that. I just pulled up a couple videos about replacing those and holy s*@t that looks difficult. Lol. Thanks! I'll leave it to the pros.
Jerry - thanks for all the info! I just started ordering my speaker replacements. Going to try your set up and see if it works for me. Why did you decide against upgrading the lower dash speakers? I figure there has to be something available in the aftermarket that would improve the sound...
Set of 5 in great condition. These are 17"x7.5" tech aluminum wheels. Located in Bergen County (or Morris County); pick-up only. Have about 7200 miles when swapped out for different rims. Valve stems were left in so you can easily swap in your tpms. Great as a winter set for whatever tires you want.
