I'm not sure, but paying 600 bucks plus shipping seems foolish, I could be wrong. I don't like it that you can't just buy o-rings, seals or whatnot off of a website and rebuild it yourself. I like doing stuff like that. King shocks offer rebuild kits usually for about 25 bucks and show you how...
I emailed Rock KRawler about my 2.25 RRD's and they want 50.00 per shock for a rebuild kit, 100.00 a shock to rebuild in house, and 150 per shock to convert it to IFP, this also gives it a new SS shaft.
I'm not sure i'll buy these shock's again, i love them, but the cost of maintaining them...
I’m pretty sure my oil separator is leaking. I need to get one of those line cameras to confirm.
Have any of you guys changed yours?
I know it’s a pita.
That’s a good question, I don’t know the answer. However, if you try and take off the reservoir cap after it’s been driven, it’s got some pressure
At one point, I had to add half a gallon. Then slowly keep loosing, I haven’t checked it this week. I did have to replace the reservoir, it cracked at the seams and was loosing quite a bit of fluid.
Well i broke down and bought a new radiator. I want a fan controller, but oh well. I believe my radiator has been leaking for about a year. I can always smell a hint of coolant, but can never find a leak. I have checked all the obvious places.
I bought this, i declare it looks exactly like a...
Oh, sorry. I replaced the tailshaft bearing and had a different noise start.
Ended up being the pinion head bearing , I really torqued it too tight back in November. I really took my time with TTR and the PTR this time. I'm on the lighter side on both, barely in spec, but still in spec
Anyone a bearing expert?? This tailshaft bearing came out of my jeep about 2 months ago. It's been in there since I changed the gears about 2 years ago. I did have some chipped spider gear teeth discovered about 2 months ago, hence why I went into the rear end to investigate. Rear end was making...
i can get it to stay below 200 just by driving 45mph -55mph. However, you put any juice to it and it shoots up rather quickly. For some reason, i just don't like that
I have a 21 sport with 35's and 4.56 gears. I never have liked the cooling ability of this jeep. It seems when you get up in speed it will start heating up, when you slow down to about 60, it will cool back down again. I think that's just kinda freaky. I am use to V-8's, my boat doesn't run over...
I swapped in a dana 44 AdvanTek rear axle with trac-loc at around 5k miles on my 21 JLUS. Around 25k miles I regeared to 4.56 and 35's. (Big difference BTW)
I change my fluids more often than most, however, in another thread you can see I had this noise for which I thought it was a wheel...
