I notice you got the new version of that panel that doesn't have the three drilled holes for the rotopax mounts. Did you have to do anything special to attach those? I'm wondering if I'll need any extra hardware beyond what comes with the rack and the standard pack mounts.

I'm considering this rack, but from all the pictures and install guides I haven't been able to figure one thing out: Could you run this system with only the cross-bars attached to the mounting brackets, leaving the rest of the pioneer platform off? For a lot of the things I do I only need a...
