On the Sport and Sport S that have the "euro" front bumper, they needed to remove the piece between the bumper and the fender. The Willys in 21 and 22 comes with a Sahara bumper and there is a space between the bumper and fender. So I didn't need to remove anything
I'm a little uncertain on this. I took off the MT2's at 800 miles. I didn't change my dashboard display to show the gear you are in next to the D until about 400 miles. With the 285's it doesn't shift into 8th gear until 60-65 mph. And unless the road is totally flat, it will drop it back to...
I can't answer your first question. As far as the MT/2's, the ride quality isn't really good at all. Huge difference all around for the better with the KO2's.
Sorry for the miscommunication. You need to keep the TPMS sensors that same on your wheels/tires. Some guys buy takeoff KO2’s with the rims that came off a rubicon and they just put them right on their Jeep. That’s where you could run into problems.
I am totally stock otherwise. No issues with rubbing. But I’m 99% on road. The only off road I do is the beach and that’s all flat with no articulation. Look on the the frame of the drivers door for the month and year yours was built.
It worked out great. The KO2's to me are so much better than the Destination MT2's that came with the Willys. They feel more connected to the road. As far as the TPMS sensors go, you need to know what month of 2021 your Wrangler was built. The TPMS sensors used post June 2021 builds are...
I had ordered a Sport S back in August pretty loaded up. But was having buyers remorse as I really wanted a Willys, but didn’t want the mud tires. Fast forward and a buddy of mine who has a Rubicon was getting new rims and tires and said he would just give me the takeoffs for free. Now it’s...
I have it in my 2021 Willys and also had it in my 2017 JKU Big Bear. I thought it sounded better in my JKU. One thing i noticed is that in the JKU, the subwoofer and all the speaker grills had "Alpine" on them. In my 2021, only the sub says Alpine. The speaker grills do not. Hoping they are...
I have 5 Rubicon wheels with TPMS (pre June 2021) that came off a 2020 Rubicon at 4000 miles. Mint condition. No scratches or curb rash. Located on Long island. Pickup only. No shipping
Definitely a ride improvement. No doubt. Quieter and smoother ride. One thing that has happened is I am now getting the below in messages on the dash. Doesn’t make sense because the backup sensors still work the way they are supposed to. Has to be related to the spare tire and the way it is...
I have a 2021 JLU Willys. Today I had take off Rubicon KO2’s 285/70/17 mounted on my stock Willys wheels. Now I am getting “Rear Park Sense Unavailable. Wipe Sensors”. But it is available and when backing up and I come close to an obstacle, it beeps and the photo in the dash shows yellow then...
Hi Dan,
I have 5 Firestone Destination MT/2's with 834 miles on 4 and 0 miles on the spare that came off my Willys. 255/75/17. I also have a set of 5 Rubicon take off rims from a 2020 Rubicon that had approx 4000 miles on it. I'm on Long Island
