I have a manual, that may be my way to go if I can squeeze a hot wire through there.
I think I found a grommet on the passenger side tucked under the dash that I'll explore also.

For those of us poors with no auxiliary switches, is there another power source under the dash somewhere for us to use? I took the kick panel off only to find that I don't have anything resembling what I've seen in these threads so far.
I traded my Gladiator for my 2 door JL over 6 months ago and it seems like every week I lock my keys in the Jeep.
I'm looking for a solution to hide a spare key because apparently I haven't learned my lesson yet...
Mine broke for the 2nd time at 0500 Saturday morning as we were loading the family up for a trail ride/Badge of Honor trail run with some friends.
I knew what happened as soon as I heard it grinding and crunching so I wasn't worried. I didn't have a spare but I knew that a 3/8 drive 3"...
Well, the only thing it'll be magnetically attracted to is the little stick-on steel disc that came with it.
It's still going on non-ferrous material like aluminum.
I am thinking about using the little 3M adhesive magnetic mount on the hardtop and running the antenna wire into my Jeep. If I hit a branch, it'll just knock if off the magnetic mount, and having the antenna higher than the Jeep should be a good thing.
Someone sanity check me here? I'm not...
