Only saw this now. Thank all y'all for commenting and sharing your experiences!
I'll definitely try and shim the full length with some more foam rubber or sth to see whether the water squirts disappear, maybe the crackling and squeaking goes away then too.
If not: Well the Hard Top on the JK...
1st Rubicon was a JKU 2.8l Diesel
2nd Rubicon now a JLU 3.6l Petrol
Both for the same reason: A little beefier drivetrain and factory lockers suit my application the best and aftermarket vehicle modifications are heavily regulated where I live.
2019 JLUR 3.6 with 10'000miles on it, everything including tire pressure as it came from the factory. No DW ever. Has the steering stabilizer recall in the system, but why let 'em fix sth that obviously ain't broken...
Yeah, same with most of the bigger channels at this point: Expedition Overboard, Product Recon, BuyNLarge McBride, all more of the same but none of it still exciting or inspiring at this point... Just stopped caring and unsubscribed. Bunch of rigs so overloaded, their frames no longer creak but...
Hi everyone
Saw that a bunch of you in here run an Ursa Minor Campertop on your JLUs as well, and as there's not a whole lot out there on tzeh interwebz on these things, wanted to ask you what your experiences with it are.
Reason I'm asking is: I suspect/hope my UM might just be shimmed...
Would be interested in that too, because honestly, at this point I'm so frustrated with the project, that I'm really thinking hard about whether I should continue with this uuhm... "bright" idea, or just throw the GP JK mount away. So far, solving one problem, only seems to be leading to the...
Been using the frontrunner set for 4 years now (weekend and multi-week trips to 16 countries).
=> Awesome thought-through and very durable bag, 90% SA garbage utensils inside though that I've since swapped out (eeerr... the cutting board is fine  )...
"more than just a colour"
Don't tell me they're throwing in decals as well!! 😱 We're in such desperate need for more "sticker edition Jeeps" :D Living on the edge...
Owned nothing but Jeeps. Last one was a JKU Rubicon Diesel with the stupid eurospec 2.8liter inline four cylinder, coupled to the 5speed auto. First one was a 4.0liter XJ Low Output and now a 3.6l JLU Rubi automatic.
Why Jeep: The first ride I ever took after coming into this world in '85, was...
sometime around 2027-29 depending on sales as my predecessors wrote
Refering to the last paragraph of my post, I don't see myself being in the market of a next generation JM Wrangler. I like things simple and reliable, mechanic, not electronic, for traveling internationally and the JL is...
Had a buildsheet since before I started saving for the Jeep itself. Fear by the time this Ursa-Microcamper is completed, I could as well've made a six figure down payment on a piece of land with a house on it here...
At least there's much less space I have to vacuum clean in the Jeep compared...
