My windshield is fine, but if Gorilla Glass is on my window sticker as paid upgrade, shouldn't that mean insurance has to replace it with Gorilla Glass if it gets damaged, like a steel bumper, or front trail cam, etc?
If I get my wheels and tires changed, will the stock Rubicon wheels fit in the back of the vehicle (4xe) with hardtop on for the drive home from the installer? Thanks, I hope not too dumb a question.
The owners manual says there is built in monitoring for stale gas and oil, which will keep the 2.0T running more than usual to keep things mixing ok and to use up the older gas and oil so they can be replaced sooner.
However, that doesn't cover the fact that for some use cases, the gas engine...
Anyone have experience and pics of these trails? I am looking for destinations within 100 miles of my home and this preserve qualifies. Only rated 2 out 5, I'll take what I can get, as the song goes. Thanks!
I'm noticing (maybe incorrectly) that most of the corroded hinge issues are happening in winter states with road salt, etc. I know it is based on aluminum touching steel, but maybe winters make the issue happen sooner.
If your Wrangler is 2018-2020, let us know if your hinges are still...
Maybe they finally dialed in the factory steering geometry(?). or possibly low expectations from all the doom and gloom about the highway ride in all the reviews, I was expecting a tedious 4 hour drive home. It turns out the 4xe has decent enough highway manners, even up to 80mph (but most...
I'm picking up the 4xe from Lakeland FL and driving the 200 miles back home. I have the option of major highway, secondary highway, or paved country roads. Any suggestions on the best use of these roads for the first 200 miles (it has 11 miles on it now). I can spend the time necessary if...
Supposed to be a blue badge on 4xe. I wonder what else the build sheet lists incorrectly.
EDIT: Whoops, my bad... the list is 5 pages long, so later on they correct it. Otherwise, my $64K rig has "Full Metal Doors w/Roll-up Windows".
My VIN has model year 2021 in it, so they can't just push it off to 2022 (December), right?
Anyone have experience with orders being transferred to following year or cancelled after a VIN is assigned?
In preparing to place an order for my first Wrangler, I discovered there are years of the posts in this forum about JL paint issues (bubbles, specks under the clear, robots missed a sport, corroding aluminum, etc). It appears that these threads are making some new Wrangler shoppers hesitant...

One of the craziest I can think of has to be the proximity unlock; $645 so I don't have to press a button (on the biggest key fob known to man). I'm not saying it has zero value....but $645? That has to be the easiest option NOT to choose.
Then there's the one touch top at $4000. Not being able...
I'm trying to imagine life with a 4xe and if I can work into my daily routine...
Can I assume that the torque bump is gone when you run out of juice, and you are then driving a regular gas 2.0T but now with 600 lbs of dead weight? If so, can this only be solved by plugging in as often as you...
I calculated $54,360 for 4xe (includes the $7500 rebate) vs $54,920 for JLUR with options: auto-4x4, LEDs and 8.4 nav, which are standard on 4xe.
So its actually cheaper to get a 4xe if:
you pay more than $7500 in taxes
you were thinking of buying (not leasing) a JLUR 2.0T or 3.6L 8-spd
you...
I've searched, no findy...
If you include a hard top liner with your factory order, does it come installed from the factory or does the dealer install it before delivery?
Thanks!
I am about to order, but going back and forth between tops. If I order a soft top with the thought that maybe someday i pick up a new or used hardtop later, I will not have switches for the rear defroster and rear wiper. Is this correct?
Thanks...
