Sorry to here your experience - I for one have had nothing but great luck with them - multiple sets of wheels/tires of the years and zero issues. Best balancing I have ever gotten from anywhere
28K miles - I drive 20 miles to work each way and it is about 1/2 surface road and 1/2 interstate (I run 80+ on the interstate) I also make a trip of about 600 miles once a month. I Charge at home and work but not on the longer trips. I also drive pretty hard - bought mine for the 475ftlbs NOT...
2% of it is the speedometer not being calibrated and the other part might just be the timing of the change (winter gas vs summer gas and temps).
I personally have seen less than 2% difference on mine with actual measured/calculated mileage NOT the guestimated crude on the dash.
I had 3K miles...
Thanks for the notice on the XR top speed being higher - I will be on the lookout for the once in a life time top speed race!
And you are assuming I am rolling on stock tires - trust me my 0-60 is in line with your ZL1 and the ZL1's contrary to "ratings" do not seem to top out as advertised the...
Not sure where you are getting your slow 0-60 and 1/4 mile times from and would not argue the quickness compared to other cars BUT if you get another chance to drive a 4xe - maybe put it in 4Hi-auto and turn TC off.
I regularly get 13.8 and 13.90 1/4 miles with my fully loaded 21 Sahara so...
As others have indicated I think what you are missing is that even after the EV "stops" working the Jeep is still running as a Hybrid - not just the ICE.
The only difference between Hybrid mode and EV mode is in Hybrid the ICE will be engaged sooner and more often than in EV-only mode.
When...
"around town" - anything stop and go under 55 or so I use EV only because it does hold it in electric better than hybrid - anything else I leave it in Hybrid and let the system handle it.
There is not a set "percentage" threshold when it will switch back to hybrid.
EV only mode can not be available for a variety of reasons most of which are resulting in too much heat/strain on the battery/EV system.
For example I can drive all day long around town below 50mph and stay in EV...

Bought and decide to keep the stock nuts, for now, my loss someone's gain - 40.00 shipped in the contiguous 48?
Yeah unfortunately all OEM's have their PCM's locked down so the process normally requires replacing the PCM with an unlocked one (about $1K) and then modifying the programming.
Just an FYI - I reached out to Diablo and they are considering working on a programmer for the 4Xe. I volunteered my Jeep for testing and they have been looking at scheduling it for later this year but if people contact them maybe they will speed up the process. - https://www.diablosport.com/
Bottom line - they are fun in 95+ degree high humidity weather the best I have seen is a 13.8s 1/4 mile with zero mods - call it quick or fast or whatever.
Never thought I would try to lower the ET of a Jeep - but when winter gets here I am thinking if I remove every spare part, roof, jack...
I have to 2nd this - it will be a different "feel" than the V8 but flat out vs flat out - only the 392 and higher V8's currently available will out pull a 4xe - best 1/4 mile I have seen to date is a 13.8.
I bought mine specifically for the power but as other have indicated just plug it in...
