Hello! I am not sure if anyone will see this, but I found a scratch behind the passenger door handle of my brand new JL and was wondering if a meguiars compound would solve it. For those who have dealt with something similar please let me know. I would really appreciate any advice I can get.
It seems that way! I will be checking them out after work today. I do have a ratchet set that goes up to 18mm but only includes 1/4” and 3/8” ratchets plus extensions. I may need to get a ratchet with a 1/2” drive while I’m there and I’ll check out the combo wrenches too. Thank you for the...
Ok thank you both very much! That is where I was looking actually. There is a store not too far from me, so I may pick one up just to be on the safe side. I definitely do want to build up a small supply of everyday tools as I can see myself working on the JL more and more in the future. This is...
Ok thank you! And last question, should I invest in a torque wrench or is that not necessary? I think I would need a 3/8” one for this job to use with the 18mm socket.
Oof. Not terribly pricey but certainly a pain! Did you buy a takeoff? That’s what I was going to do but it was going to cost too much to have one shipped. Figured I might as well buy a new one.
Thank you for linking that! I bought a new bumper, skid plate, and close out panel from BAM wholesale. I think the new skid should come with the appropriate brackets right?
Hello! I am looking to swap the front plastic bumper for the three-piece Mopar one on my 2021 JLUR XR this weekend, and was wondering what tools I may need for the job. It seems like I will need a 1/4” drive, 3/8” drive, 8mm socket, 18mm socket, and some extensions (gathered from various videos...
Yes there is! They are not always 100% accurate, but you can visit the Jeep chat website at the link below and ask an agent for a status update. That will give you a ballpark idea of where your Jeep is at in the build process. I hope this helps...
Hello!
Just for curiosity’s sake, is anyone planning on upgrading to a different set of bumpers when your 392 arrives? If so, I would be very interested in buying the front and rear steel takeoffs with the skid plate. Just shoot me a pm if you are interested.
Thank you!
Thank you! Here are a few photos that the dealership took before swapping my wheels. I personally really like the look of the flare extensions. I think they look much better than simply widening the fenders as that might throw off the proportions of the Jeep in my opinion. They have a sharp...
Thank you all for the nice comments! I am so happy to finally have it in my possession and I hope that you all receive yours soon too! Hang in there! It is well worth the wait! : ) ✌️
You can make yours black too! But.... it’ll run you about $1600 plus a powder coat job and a dealer labor fee lol! Black wheels would look sick on a white Jeep though!
They are not the same wheels. I bought the black Mopar bead-lock capable wheels and had the rings powder coated to match. The dealer swapped them for me on arrival!
