After 3 & a half years of owning a new JLU we are selling it for this exact reason. Every time we need parts for a warranty job or tsb or even service parts we have to wait forever. Windshield - had to wait 8 weeks for Jeep to import one from the U.S, Air filter for a service - had to wait 6...
Tell her that Wranglers are great vehicles but if something goes wrong with it she should expect it to be off the road for possibly months while she waits for the parts to come from Jeep to fix it.
It's not just Nth America. Jeep after sales sucks worldwide. I've been having the same problems with after sales service in Australia. The dealer is great & do what they can but they are hamstrung by Jeep. Everytime they need parts for anything, even a service I can wait months for the parts...
I had this at low speeds on my 2019 jlu like at carpark speeds. Pretty sure there was a tsb where they did a software update to fix surging (thats what the dealer did to mine). Otherwise it could just be a bad batch of fuel you got & will resolve with new fuel flush.
My JLU 2019 (sahara) already has the hood alarm from factory. I just assumed they all did. I didn't need a tazer to activate it. If my Jeep is locked & you open the hood the alarm goes off.
I'm not sure about US models of JL with the 3.6 but the Australian model sold here (same but rhd) states in the manual from Jeep that ethanol content of fuel should not exceed 10% because anything higher can cause damage to engine & void warranty. The 3.6 doesn't like ethanol fuel.
The side vents were specifically added to the JL by Jeep to minimise/eliminate the hood flutter of previous models. It is designed for purpose so blocking the vents will most likely negate their purpose & increase the likelihood of hood flutter &/or put undue pressure on the hood latches causing...
Hmmm it's an odd post....if you wanted "fast" don't buy a 2 ton Wrangler or you should have bought the 392. I'm not sure what the problem is here. My 2 ton 2019 jlu wrangler with pentastar 3.6 (automatic) on 33's goes from 0-100klms In about 6-7 seconds which for a 2ton curb weight 4x4 is damn...
What everyone isn't taking into account is that in a few years if the greenies get their way & things keep going the way they are you will only be able to buy an electric jeep so interior options & creature comforts is all we will have & all jeep will be able to use as selling points to new...
Just a random forum members 2 cents worth...These sort of questions put to random strangers in a public forum always perplex me. Only you & your wife know the answer to this question & a bunch of random strangers are only going to give you insignificant uninformed opinions based nothing on your...
I have a 2019 Overland (sahara) & have never had an issue except when I first got my jeep & kept holding the handle while pressing the button. I soon worked out it was user error & since then just close door & press button with index finger without touching the handle & not a single problem...
I have a 2019 Overland (Sahara) with over 60k klms & have had zero issues with my leather seats. Must just be a random issue with some seats as with anything. Lots of random issues on vehicles which affect some & not others.
I get alot of compliments on our Wrangler, usually when stopped & filling up with fuel or in a carpark as well as alot of head turns & thumbs up while driving but what gives me the greatest kick is watching the little kids looking at it in awe while pointing at it & telling anyone who will...
JeepCares posted a new TSB for this problem just recently in this forum & Jeep are retro fitting the rubber channel diverter to JL's from 2018-2021 under this TSB. My dealer has already ordered the parts for me & will do the job on my 2019 when the parts arrive.
If your jeep dropped 6 qts of oil in a couple of miles because of a faulty gasket/seal then filling it up with oil alone won't solve the problem because it will just dump the new oil again...if it doesn't drop the oil again after refilling then it doesn't have a bad seal & it left the dealer...
*scratching my head*....I don't get it. It's not hard at all to wash a wrangler or any car for that matter. Coming from the son of a car detailer It's an easy process & I don't know why you're having any trouble at all. I offroad & live rural where just driving down the road gets my wrangler...
Since the Jeep is only at 5kmiles & still under warranty it's not financially viable for a dealer to sabotage your jeep just to do warranty work...Jeep don't pay them enough for warranty jobs. Jeep don't even pay them to diagnose issues, they only pay for the actual warranty repair & the rate...
I bought my JL new from a dealer in Melbourne. Underside was so clean & spotless that even at its 1st service/check up at 1000klms the dealer mechanics were raving about how clean it was underneath. 3 years later at almost 60,000klms & a bunch of offroading in all conditions the underside is...
