If it's in relation to a recall, call the recall line and ask to speak with:
Kimberly
Recall Specialist, Jeep Customer Care
They don't give last names due to privacy, but she is amazing, super responsive and really understanding / helpful.
UPDATE: The software battery integrity diagnostic is now available! I'd recommend calling your dealer, as it shows up on Mopar but not in the app. In addition, push back if they say the fix is not available. Their system will say "parts are not available" but it does provide the line item for...
Alright I finally got my rental actually approved($60 per day, recommended to rent on a month-to-month basis) and they offered an additional $100 per month gift voucher. Even if you don't absolutely need a rental, consider reaching out to FCA Cares. The more pressure they get from us seeking...
It's a good question. So far they haven't hit the end of their "promised" Q1 initial software roll out. But if they miss that, then maybe we have some legs to stand on?
For those with rentals, that's realistically likely the best remedy we will get. Still haven't confirmed mine
Correct. After sending the approval on the rental they sent an unprompted follow up email stating:
"I just got a confirmation from the Area Manager on this matter. he confirmed that vehicle is safe to drive as long as the vehicle is not charged using the charging port.. The vehicle is safe to...
Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a heads up that Jeep is now trying to back out of the rental they offered (citing they misread the recall report to say you couldn't drive the vehicle but in reality you can as long as you park it near nothing).
I've been a Wrangler driver my whole life...
I agree with all of the wise comments about fixing the existing problems.
I've been sitting on a 4xe that I can't drive because of the battery recall for two months, and it's sitting outside in sub freezing temperatures uncharged, so of course I'll have long term battery issues and bubbling...
Of course! I went through FCA Customer Service Chat. It took some back and forth. They first sent me to the dealer who said they wouldn't help and couldn't take it as a trade or buy back. So then I went back to FCA and asked what I'm supposed to do when I cant drive the car due to the...
New Update!
After another conversation with FCA, they have offered $540 per week for rental car coverage given the recall restrictions making it infeasible to drive the car in any populated area.
Not sure if they are going to offer it more broadly, but they might if you reach out to the recall...
Sorry! That last point came from a conversation I had with a local NHTSA agent at the suggestion of the local dealer. It's not an official statement from NHTSA, but a helpful data point.
Massachusetts-based 4xe here. I've spoke with FCA and my local dealer a few times and this is the latest I've received:
Jeep told the dealers Q1 for a "fix," but the current expectation is now late in Q1 with my local dealer pessimistic this deadline will be hit.
Dealers (at least the ones my...
I bought a used 2021 4xe that came with a soft top, but with young kids I find the hard top a bit more manageable.
Anyone interested in figuring out a top swap? Otherwise happy to sell and buy a hard top separately.
