It wasn't great trying to trade so quickly but considering the 7500.00 tax credit I actually didn't do to bad. They now have the vehicle listed on KBB so that helps the dealers give more for trade in etc... Most of the dealers were trying to give me less because of the tax credit.
I purchased my 4 x E back in May and really thought it was pretty luxurious for this type of Jeep. However after a 2000 mile interstate trip I have decided to trade it in on a new Grand Cherokee L. The main thing was the wind noise on the front windshield. It was very fatiguing after awhile...
Was in 1 hell of a hurry for an appointment that I was getting a late departure for etc….
i ran 80 to 85 most of the way.
I was impressed with the 2.0’s power especially up Monteagle Tn. I set the cruise on 80 for the incline and it never missed a beat!
The bad news was I averaged around 18.5...
Dealers typically do not know much about the ins and outs of the
Jeep corporate is supposed to be responding back to me.
Local dealers do not have a clue about the 4xe.
That was really my point to the post.
The dealer was going to give me much less for my 4xe since the next buyer would not get the 7500 tax credit. Said he would have a hard time moving it.
On the other side of the equation, I spoke with another dealer who says it's impossible to get (high end)vehicles at the auctions now. Mercedes etc... including some Jeeps are being purchased by Arab dealers for crazy amounts and are being shipped over to the Middle East.
I checked with a Jeep dealer to find out what the value is and they said it was 51k on a 57,500 (new) vehicle with 1500 miles.
They claim the next buyer will not be eligible for the 7500.00 tax incentive fyi.
I have 975 on mine with no issues so far.
I love your Jeep!
Do you have photos of your window tint?
I am trying to decide on just tinting the side windows or going dark all the way around.
