I picked up a Mopar steel bumper with the skid plate and LED fogs for $250. I had to buy the frame nuts and skid screws. Sold the fogs for ~$100 or so.
Sometimes you get lucky. 🤣
Hmmm. That makes way more sense as to why there were no holes like the Bestop video. Can you get a shot of the other end? This has been a HUGE help. I wonder if I can work it back into place?
Thanks! That does help a lot.
Now the issue is figuring out what has to be disassembled to attach it. I’ve take the top up and down, windows on and off, and don’t see any major complications as is, so will have to
figure if it’s worth fixing and how to do it exactly. My guess is all this was...
Got it! I see where this goes now. Sorry it took me a minute. There aren’t any screws already in the bracket. Is that something I can pickup locally at a Lowes or Home Depot? I have no idea why this part was left off, apparently from the factory.
Thanks for the info, Lee. What functionality is lost by not having those flaps connected? There aren’t any pre-punched holes in the fabric, so I’m still a bit fuzzy on the finished product after watching the video. I didn’t see on the video exactly what matched what I’m looking at in the Jeep.
Does anyone have a picture of what this should look like done correctly? I can’t really see what part of the frame these would attach to. I assume this come pre-assembled from Mopar? This top is “new-to-me” but the seller said they took deliver of their Rubicon with the top on then switched and...
Switched tops. First time using the soft top.
Went fairly smoothly, but not really sure what to do with these:
They are on each side. I can kind of loosely tuck them up out of the way, but no idea what the purpose is. Friend’s top doesn’t have these.
I tried again this morning and everything seemed to line up ok. I’m guessing end of day fatigue or frustration was the issue last night. All looks buttoned up and happy.
But I am curious what this flap is for. There is one in each side and they don’t seem to connect to anything. My friend’s top...
So many issues.
So. Many. Issues.
New to me premium soft top. Mounting the passenger side door surround, the bolts won’t mate flush with the threads on the top side. Driver side went on without an issue. Here’s the part in question:
I don’t see anything obvious as far as something being...
I bought a used soft top and the brackets to mount the soft top to the roll bar were left on the seller’s Jeep. I have the brackets, but I ordered screws that the dealer and Quadratec said would fit and they are too small.
68399056AA is too small for the roll bar, but that is the part listed...
Installed a pair of CMM mirror brackets. These things are built like tanks and fit like a glove. Very impressed with the workmanship. Not sure I’ll use the ball mounts, so they may get swapped with the flat caps. CMM stuff is legit.
**Update**
Scrubbed inside and outside with a Dawn and water mixture and let dry in the sun. Smell was slightly reduced. Today, I put a good amount of baking soda on the inside portions this morning and left in the sun most of the day. Rinsed gently with water and then another scrub with the...
JScan and 2 modules on Amazon cost me ~$70. Changes tire size super easily and a whole slew of other stuff. One of the best purchases I’ve made. Plug and play, and the app is pretty intuitive. Their support is also very quick to respond.
So I’m seeing the ozone generator has the most posts. Just put a small one in the seat and let run for a while? The last thing I want to do is mess with the plastic or windows on my newish JL.
Any good do’s/don’ts?
Thanks everyone for the responses.
