It's not really the brakes...it's coming from under the hood. And it's only a single chirp after a start/stop/restart event once moving and all other stops are silent...until the next start/stop/restart event. Then, it "chirps" again, and the cycle repeats. I only mentioned the brakes because it...
Ok, so since brand new, I've noticed this weird "chirp" when hitting the brakes after every start/restart (stop/start included). It only happens the very first time after a restart/stop-start, but there's a very audible "chirp", and then never happens again....until the next restart/stop-start...
Ok, I should re-phrase: it's not that it's "undrivable", but the vibration and rattle I get are fairly intense. So much so I can actually feel the vehicle "vibrate" a little when it happens, and the rattle sounds almost like the top is going to "fly off".
It could have been occurring ever since new, but I keep the radio up and only just noticed this....but with the front or rear windows down, if I go above 50-60mph, the rear bar (I think it's the rear bar at least) in the soft top will start to rattle, almost violently. All 4 windows down, same...
I purchased a set of Rubi flares thinking I would need/want them for my "Fauxbicon" build, but have decided to go another route. Flares have some minor surface scratches, and only need need the clips and lights. Inner liners are included and still attached. Located in Ashburn, VA for local...
I was reading through, and I wonder if it didn't split screen due to me using Waze...I'll try using Maps and Spotify instead and see if that splits for me. #thumbsup
Fair enough, that makes sense. I'm just trying to get the split screen to work (trying to find the setting) and for Waze to stop freezing/slow-update/be more accurate. I have the "new" look with the 4 icons along the bottom, so maybe I already have Coolwalk...I'll have to poke around and see if...
Ok, I'm looking at my phone, and according to Google, Android Auto "current release" is 8.7.630264 and updated on 2/2/2023. IDK if it's because I only have a Pixel 6 Pro, but appears my phone hasn't updated to the 8.8 release w/ Coolwalk.
It's in the sidewall. Try pulling it out and if it leaks, either take it upon yourself to plug/patch, or likely buy a new tire. It MAY be just stuck in the lug and not gone all the way through. But yes, it's in the sidewall, I wouldn't do any patching/plugging if it's actually punctured...
You can technically run 285/70R17's ("33's") without any changes and it'll be fine. I have Rubi take-offs on my '21 Sport Altitude, and they're perfectly fine. You'll want to adjust the speedo w/ a JScan or Tazer, and you'll get a slight hit to your MPG, but otherwise they're perfectly fine.
Yup, that's always been part of my procedure when doing lifts (I've had a couple of XJs in the past)...makes for a much better ride too, as well as longer-life for the bushings. 👍
