I was going to go with SKAR but it has a vent hole out the rear and the factory box has no depth. I was told that ideally you need 3/4" of space between vent hole and back panel. The JL 10TW1 has no vent so no additional space required.

Thanks for reply. I'm trying to find more thump and less boom. I've done before with small enclosures but not sure how to do with what seems like a plastic sub box.

Has anyone replaced factory sub with aftermarket sub/amp in stock enclosure?

I just emailed AAL about my order, been waiting almost 8 weeks. Would hate to receive and perform install only to find they are dim. If they know about this they should not be selling these.

I recently upgraded to the mbquart full system for JLU. Has anyone just swapped the stock Alpine sub for a better quality one? I have not taken apart the stock box yet so not sure if it's even worth it. Thanks

21 JLURD with Clayton 2.5 overland lift and Fox 2.5 DSC shocks. Ride is so plush but can also firm up if needed, love the adjustability. Rock Sliders coming, AAL inner liners and high line lights also on the way. Everyday I am smiling, and so is the wife...lol
