After two years of driving basically on black roads (20,000 km), the factory Bridgestone Dueler H/T 685s seem to have lost their wet traction properties. The car dances in the rain with the rear drive. With 4x4 drive is better but still bad. Interestingly it was only this vacation that I noticed...
So I have just covered my first 1000 miles with Sahara. I am thrilled as far as anything this car brings for me and my family. There are some less favourite aspects of such car, and I am pretty aware of them and accept them.
Fuel efficiency is decent. It is 2.0T so in the city I got 17-18 MPG...
A little update to my rumbling problem.
I removed the deflector and the rumbling is gone. This is a good part. The bad part is I have discovered there are two rubber bumpers missing and my guess is the lack of such makes the angle wrong. I need to figure something out. I like this deflector, as...
I am about to revive the old thread but I got similar issue with my brand new Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. On the way back home from the dealership (my virgin trip) I noticed sort of rumbling around the windshield when I first hit 66 MPH. My first thought was the bug deflector but the bass sound...
I know exactly what you mean. In the center of Poland, we do not heavy winters. Occasionally conditions are tough but from my point of view, the most irritating thing is potholes in the roads after the winter. I just hate it when the drive is more about zig-zags.
Every car enthusiast must buy a topless car. I used to drive such beauty for 3 years. It was fun to drive, especially in the helmet. I always took the steering wheel with me from any parking lot, so it was a bit sensational.
Since traffic regulations got stricter and for speeding more than...
We got something in common - I am also a Muscle Car enthusiast, not having Challenger due to size issues. I went to get Challenger once but discovered I would not be able to get out of it in my own garage. The door is just too long. I am happy with My GT Mustang 2008, which drives like a wagon...
The only German snobbish car, which can compare to Wrangler is G-Klasse, which for twice as much offers.. - let me think...? Snobism?
I have a sunroof in my European Buick Regal (Opel Insignia). I open it only in the city, and occasionally when I want to vent the interior. Fast German cars...
I know such protection works for soft tops. How about hard top? I chose a hard top for many reasons, one of them being security (weather also - 1/2 of a year in Poland is wet).
The only thing I might be missing is the color of the leather seats. I would have liked to set up my Sahara from scratch, but then I would have wait till the summer for delivery. I will have granite crystal with a black leather interior. Bright leather is not available at all, and I wanted dark...
I also think that it is better to exploit OEM tires, and later decide what to do. The visual difference might barely noticeable, or not worthy of 800 USD
Hallo Jeep Lovers
I am clashing with myself a bit as far as changing OEM Dueler H/T 255/70R18 tires with a more aggressive Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S OWL 265/70/R18.
Mathematically speaking, the bigger Cooper gives 14 mm per diameter and only 7 mm per radius of a more aggressive look.
As I am...
From what I have read, some of you compared Wrangler to trucks. In Europe, and in Poland in particular, trucks are less popular and useful.
I tried Ford Raptor once, but Polish roads and parking places are just too small. That is why I bought Mustang, not Challenger. Challenger is too wide for...
These "rattles and squeaks" may drive me crazy, but maybe I will be forgiving enough to understand, that such a car must rattle and squeak at times. TIme will tell.
