Seems to be better than just the 6.5 alone.

I mounted it to the bottom of my speaker plate I made. Just drilled a 1.5" hole for it to mount behind. You can see it in the picture I posted.

I went a little different route. I made my own 6.5 mounts and kept the sound tube for bass.

Haven't used my winch off road yet, but I have pulled up a few small trees...
